I bet voice actors will prevent this from being used by big studios and modders.
But they can't stop it from being used for shitposts. And you know, I kinda like it better that way.

Edit: I'm willing to pay good money to say voice actors will "mysteriously" be okay with niggers, troons, and welfare recipients using AI voices for some shitty projects.

I don't think they'll have any say in this matter. If your voice is so bland it can be replicated by an AI, then that's just your life. Besides, if big corpo can cut costs then by God, they surely will.
I bet they'll think of hiring naive, aspiring VA's who'll agree to 'rent' their voice for small amount of royalties whenever it's used in a project. It'll be enticing to most, as the VA's will only have to say few paragraphs to catch their range and get """good""" pay for it, while the studios will have an easy background character voice generator for their projects.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if it were the popular bitchy site mods, like the Dark0ne from Nexus, who'll ambiguously ban most projects featuring AI voices because he's Discord buddy-buddy with several more prevalent VA's around there.
On that note, I hope that it'd be the last straw that'll begin the great Nexus exodus. I doubt people will simply abandon these amazing tools just because some pozzed faggot said it hurts their/someone's feefees. And when they'll start outright banning them, it'll just push people into seeking and creating an alternative. One can only chope.

It's going to be fun to watch anyway it goes.

You vastly overestimate how much money voice actors have at their disposal.

We're not at that point yet, so anyone hoping to organize against it will be laughed at and told, "Sure, why don't YOU do that." Once we reach a point where they're fully replaceable it simply won't matter. No amount of "connections" will help them because they're all replaceable. At that point they'll be collectively told to #Learn2Code.
