Inactive Elliot Rodger - The Supreme Gentleman

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
It is now the 2 year anniversary of his shooting. I hope that there isn't another shooting in his honor but they are probably too busy campaigning for Trump to engage in mass shootings

I knew Trump's mouth reminded me of something...

Sometimes I feel bad about remembering him. He achieved his goal to be remembered.

But, I like it that in a Literal Genie twist he's remember as the sad little shit that he was, which he would've hated.

Whereever you are Eliot, I hope you can see us laughing about you.

It's rather ironic that the George Sodinis and Elliot Rodgers of the world do get remembered, but not for being the blonde pussy getting charismatic alpha male gods that, in their minds, we are supposed to see them as.

Well, he is being used for the same, at the moment.... :P

Honestly, he looks fine. He's no prize, to be sure, but guys twice as ugly lead perfectly normal, fulfilling lives. Like all of the loveshy crowd, Rodger existed in an entirely self-inflicted hell. If you read up on his life, you notice that he wasn't lonely because he was ugly; he was bullied and ostracized because he'd been an asshole his whole life and he was the kind of person people enjoy tormenting. He'd have had a thread here if we knew about him, I guarantee.
People like that are alone because their minds and values are warped. They can't stand the idea that they could be irrational or wrong, so they project it as a physical issue and think of themselves as persecuted martyrs.
Essentially, they try to substitute a failure of character for one of aesthetics, because the latter isn't entirely their own fault.

He was bullied because he meek/submissive. If he was an actual asshole (no doubt he turned out to be as an adult ) as a kid, potential bullies would be more wary of picking on him.

I think it's the bullying that made him an asshole later on when he left school, not the other way round.

The Columbine kids have loads, why are you surprised Elliot Rodger does too?

Not exactly surprised, just taken in a bit by the irony of such a thing.

While millions of kids are or have been bullied in their school years, and it kind of does have the effect of making them emotionally withdrawn or turning them into assholes later on, Peter Rodger didn't exactly do a great job of raising his son properly, especially when it came to dealing with adversity in life.

Come to think of it, he didn't raise him at all, just threw :tugboat: at his son's problems practically on demand and looking back now, it's no surprise that he eventually went the way he did :coffee::anna:

Of course, he was prevented from doing far worse by a freakin' locked door, of all things.

Not just a locked door, but one nobody ELSE would open, no matter how hard he pounded on it. It made him so mad... he went off and shot several strangers to death.

ALlegory for his waste of a life, right there.

And he didn't think of a different route into his true target? Even in his Day of Retribution he was a failure. Damn. He's probably in Hell right now wondering why he didn't simply bring a rope or ladder and break a window or something. But being only 5'6" I suppose there's only so much one can do there.

If people hadn't died I would have considered it the best unintentional comedy of the decade.

He wants to get rich --> Really, really hopes to win the lottery and cries when he doesn't.
He wants to have friends --> Sits on a bench waiting real hard for people to speak to him, cries when they don't.
He wants to be a killer supreme --> Murders a few people, fails at the first obstacle in his path,.

People see this as an example to follow?!

Well, none of the MRAs actually want to do what he did, because they understand they'll end up dead, in prison, or both.

But, they do hold him up as an example of "THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DUMB BITCHES DON'T SUBLIMATE YOURSELVES TO NICE GUYS! THEY KILL INNOCENTS! YOU BETTER START PUTTING OUT IF YOU DON'T WANT MORE OF IT!!!!!!"

He was also too retarded to even try shooting the door open. Maybe it wouldn't have worked but it would have been less pussified than just giving up.

But giving up is all this sad guy was good at.

I mulched my way through his "manifesto", it's a terribly written 20 year long sob story. This killer would break down and cry to his mommy anytime he didn't get want he wanted, even at age 20.

Let's this be a lesson; giving in to your child every time he spazzes out. doesn't end well.

The scary thing is, it's very possible that some of them will stop caring about the consequences of their actions and try to emulate their hero. The more media attention and publicity that guys like Elliot Rodger and Christopher Harper-Mercer get, the more that like-minded individuals will be craving their 15 minutes of fame. These assholes will be all over the TV for weeks with seemingly no end in sight.

Actually, the "media attention drives imitators" belief isn't all that valid.

Like the link they tried to find between violent video games and school shootings, it simply doesn't exist.

People shoot up places and attack total strangers in the name of their personal beliefs because they're mentally unwell, not because they want to be famous. And, the publicity Rodgers received from the media was overwhelmingly negative. I don't recall USA Today calling him a "hero" or "tragic misunderstood victim" , the narrative in the MSM was "Man with history of mental problems and unhealthy fixation on women shoots up neighborhood, kills self" the only "WTG DUDE!" he got was from dark corners of the internet, and if you as a person can't see that that kind of fame isn't the kind anyone should be desiring, and figure "any publicity is good publicity!" well, refer back to the top.

Rodger himself is an example. He thought this "day of retribution" would make him famous because he was just that big a narcissist and so-self absorbed he couldn't fathom that others would have a problem with him ending the lives of total innocent bystanders, to him, his rage justified his actions because he was too special to have to suffer it. His manifesto never says anything like "I'm going to be famous just like X" it's "This will show everyone!!!"

I've got plenty of criticisms of modern media, but, I will defend them from this one because you can't hold them accountable for Rodger any more than the schools, the cops, the medical field or the firearms industry are to blame.

Except many of them actually explicitly state their reason is to become famous. This has been the case from Herostratus on. And if that's actually their desire, irrational as it is, they are not incorrect that particularly spectacular crimes do in fact earn fame for the perpetrator. For example, Herostratus, whose name is still remembered thousands of years later.

Rope, ladder, climb window, shoot door = all of these require a certain hands-on approach to life, or, more generally speaking, being familiar with the concept of problem-solving -- which is unbecoming a supreme gentleman who sips his Triple Latte Fagocino with Vanilla Spice in his BMW while contemplating the cruel injustices of life.

I just can't imagine Elliot Rodger actually DOING something. He was the type who sits passively around, gripes, pouts, while his hands lie useless in his lap.
