I read the original manifesto years ago and I can't seem to recall Elliot ever trying to genuinely get to know people. Whenever he was in a social situation, he was just sulking about, judging everyone and expecting hot girls to just walk up to him and offer him sex. The only person he could have an honest conversation with, was his childhood friend, James, but Elliot managed to alienate him, with his increasingly extremist tirades.
Dude was a massive nerd, with an enormous victim complex, which stemmed from his unchecked narcissism. He really thought everything and everyone will be handed to him unconditionally, without him putting in any effort whatsoever. He didn't really want to befriend fellow geeks in real life, because he wanted to be popular and cool, cause in his twisted mind, only those people could score a pretty girlfriend. All his attempts at weaseling himself into the circles of cool people, were extremely cringe worthy and awkward, because he just copied the superficial traits of the group and expected to be accepted right off the bat. Like buying expensive skater gear, while knowing fuck all about skating.
Incels like to portray him as a misunderstood, socially awkward victim of our cruel culture, but it is all bullshit. Elliot was an unrelatable, shallow prick, who seemingly didn't have any complex human desires. Reading his manifesto, the only thing he cared about is sex and status. He just wanted to live like a rich superstar, who is being constantly showered with attention, praise and pleasure. At no point he tries to describe the personality of his hypothetical girlfriend, all I learned is, he wanted a smoking hot blonde. Probably one would not have been enough, cause Elliot never expressed true desire to actually settle down with someone and start a family. Maybe he mentioned having children once, but if I recall correctly, it was just about succession and maintaining his precious "pedigree", not about a need to nurture.
I doubt he would have been happy, if he did manage to win the lottery and score with some gold digger. Maybe for a short period he could have felt elation, but soon he would have realized his life is still empty. Instead of getting his priorities in order, he would have just complained about everyone using him for his money, treating his "ideal" girlfriend(s) like shit, because of his tendency of being a jealous asshole.

I cannot help, but feel his parents can be partially blamed for what Elliot has become.
He was a sensitive kid, probably mentally unstable from an early age, but left untreated, as his parents never tried to identify the root cause of his problems. They only provided inefficient solutions, which usually involved throwing money at whatever issue their child was facing.

Oh, Elliot doesn't like the school we enrolled him in?
Welp, just move him to a different one, an elite one this time.
What? He doesn't like his apartment?
Oh well, let's just move him to another one, damn the expenses, I guess.

He was coddled and subsequently neglected. He understood this, as he emotionally manipulated his mother, to do his bidding, well into his adulthood, by calling her and crying like little bitch about whatever he was bothering him.
I think his obsession with wealth and status was also something he picked up from his parents. Both were heavily invested in Hollywood culture and trying to rub shoulders with important people in the movie industry. His father's career pursuits lead to them moving to the US and the eventual divorce, which certainly did not help Elliot. He was never allowed to have stability in his life, he was given whatever money can buy, but no one really cared about him. The only person who attempted to discipline him was his stepmother, Soumaya, but she never had the patience, nor the agency to have an effect on Elliot.
By the time his parents realised something was seriously wrong with the kid, all they did was hire him a counselor, who gave him basic bitch, Jordan Peterson tier advice. This was too little too late. At this point Elliot has internalised his misconceptions to such degree, even a professional therapist would have faced serious difficulty in trying to dispel them.
I believe if his parents tried to give him meaningful help, he may not have commited the attrocities he did. Maybe he would have turned out to be just a regular, stuck up asshole, instead of a creepy spree shooter.

I remember that when people went through Elliot's sister's boyfriend's Facebook, he turned out to actually be as much of an asshole as Elliot was painting him as. Could anybody else here remember?

I find it amusing how Elliot acted like being a Hapa was this big fucking problem that ruined everything for him. Yeah, maybe if you're trying to go after 10/10 busty ditzy SoCal blonde girls, but therein lies his fucking problem. Even for many average looking, full blooded white dudes, that's something totally out of their reach as well. He needed to know his fucking limit and chill the fuck out. But he just couldn't accept that in his little egotistical pea brain, he NEEDED absolute perfection...

Probably one of the most underrated and hilarious parts of his manifesto when he brings that shit up. Like fuck, do you know how many White Americans have British ancestry? It's one of the most common ancestries in the US for whites. That shit doesn't make you special dumbass. It's like when fucking Barb tried drilling into Chris's head that he was somehow part of this British royal line because he's a ""Weston."" Hilarious that some rich kid living in SoCal would have some redneck ass belief like that.

I know this has probably been said many times but I'm gonna say it again...
All of Elliot's problems were in his fucking head and that's it. He had nearly everything. Decent looking guy, better looking than me, and 90 percent of dudes I see on the street anyway, had a well off family who supported him, nice car, his own place to stay, good clothes, and a great area for picking up chicks. How could he fuck all that shit up?

All his shallow ass problems could've been solved if he:

A: Stopped being pretentious about "Muh aristocracy, muh white british genes" + how his dad sort of worked on the Hunger games and was a director for some shitty movies nobody cared for.
B: Tried to go for Asian or Brunette girls instead of "le 10/10 blondes" If he wasn't an autist he easily could've pulled a cute brunette white chick, asian girl, or even a cute Latina girl.
C: Got more serious about working out, I feel like if he bulked up he would've looked pretty good. I see a lot of muscular half-asian and fully asian dudes who are legit handsome looking, and easily pull sexy white girls. Plus it would be a good counterweight for his Autism problems.
D: Accepted he has some social defect and just get a prostitute, finish college and live your damn life.

It's sad. So sad. Many of us here would kill for the life Elliot had. Literally he had everything handed to him perfectly. he had this shit in the bag and dumbass fucked it up by being a retard.

I always assumed he lived mostly inside his head and expected a girl to approach him and initiate a conversation and since he looked like a member of the Adams family this never happened, obviously, but he would imagine endless scenarios but never would put any of them to use in the real world.

Only difference in the outcome is he'd have a different justification for the shooting, probably being some shallow, room temperature IQ take on race or politics, à la Gendron or Tarrant.

i still doubt elliot was autistic he was narcissistic and schizotypal at best. the narcissist always wants the thing that gets most attention and make him look good in front of others.
also maybe he hated his mother and stepmom because they were inferior and also commanded his daddy boo boo like a cuck
so he must have anticipated the blondes wont be so evil like the dark haired foids
