Maybe he could have tried getting a pet dog or cat or something? The dog would have definitely love Elliot unconditionally and Elliot would have to learn how to least care for his dog, etc taking him out for a walk, feeding, vet visits, grooming, playing. He had the money to afford a pet - I wonder why not?

Well, he had pets. Makes me wonder what happened to those poor reptiles.

One day during winter break at father's house, father and Soumaya went out for a few hours and left me and my sister with Tracy. When they came back, they had a little puppy with them, and announced that it was our new pet. It was mainly a present for Georgia. Georgia had been desperately asking father for a pet puppy for the last year, but I didn't think he would actually go through with it. I was so shocked that we now had a dog. I was always afraid of dogs when I was little, and I never imagined having one as a pet. The only pets I've had previously were my turtle and iguana, who both died within a year of acquiring them. Georgia was given the choice on what to name the puppy, and she named it Lucky. I thought thought this was a very lame and stupid name.

Weird that he talks about this puppy the way he does. Just presenting us with his mindset at the time, not offering any observation regarding their relationship over the years, if he grew fond of it(saying "it" because he didn't bother to say the sex) or not. Looks like he's just indifferent or borderline annoyed because his sister got what she wanted.

That hair dye story really does go to show how spoiled he was. I don't remember the answer to this but did this dude's parents ever try and teach him how to take no for an answer?

Suppose one of the Supreme Gentleman's fangirls had offered to sleep with him. He'd probably refuse it and lose his shot because he isn't interested in a "pity fuck" or what he sees as the same. He wants TRUE AND HONEST love on his terms not anyone else's. He'd still have shot up Isla Vista, only his Day of Retribution video would have something about how his only chance of sex was with someone who did it out of feeling sorry for him.

The more I think about it the more I see what kind of a hero ER had been. He is now seen as behind Sodini or Marc Lepine in terms of sheer heroism, though Marc Lepine would get extra points in any case for pinpointing the actual cause of the problem, which is feminism, and as early as 1989 (!). But we mustn't forget that ER was so close to becoming the greatest hero of them all by slaughtering that sorority.

And while it is true that ER didn't seem intelligent enough to see he had options like trying abroad he at least saw what kind of men get women in today's America and described that problem accurately. I thereby grieve for ER but would still put Marc Lepine as the greatest hero, due to his body count and due to just how early it happened.

Feminism is a symptom of terminal disease in society. Even frickin' Stalin abolished it in USSR because he saw it would destroy his country.
