Agreed. It's certainly possible that Tesla's current position is only ephemeral but I would also keep in mind they've shown the ability to pivot quite well and reduce the price point of certain models.

If they can produce cars that are almost as cheap as the Chinese stuff then they would at the very least have the US and possible EU markets cornered.
It may also be that Chinese car brands get heavily taxed in ROTW because of anti China sentiment.
