Forget upward mobility, we are now entering into an era of downward mobility. Today’s zoomers are going to be less well off than their Xer parents, much like millennials are going to be worse off than their boomer parents.

No I don’t want some autiste to talk about how much wealth they have. In current year plus ten, a new engineer out of school making $80k is worse off than their parents who made $50k combined thirty years ago. Of course, engineering grads struggle to find jobs so it’s a pretty big assumption for me to say an engineer making $80k out of school is a common occurrence. Twenty years ago when I was in engineering school, kids who were in and out of academic probation had many competitive offers.

It’s why I don’t understand the rumpswabbing of our billionaires. They hate us and they get showered with praise in response. I understand why they loathe us for that reason. It's not even some ideology thing one could share with them as these people don't really believe in anything except their own greed. Why would you want them to have unchecked control over you?

I don't use mass social media, at all. Never did. Never had a twitter account, facebook account or anything of that ilk. When it became impossible to even look at these websites without having an account, I just stopped looking at them. I haven't watched TV or cable news in about twenty years at this point.
