Botting was there but not as bad as now. You could avoid politics and shit before, now you can’t scroll for 5 seconds without Trump ads.

I ran a Twitter account for a fandom related thing, never engaged with politics, never posted about it and before Elon was able to never have to see it. Now my Twitter accounts have been abandoned for months but I still get 20+ notifications when I log in that are ALL spam about shit I don’t care. Notifications are for when I actually interact with someone and they interact back. Not to push whatever random thought Elon had today that he thinks everyone needs to hear.

I have an account with 0 posts and I have hundreds of followers from bots pretending to be sexy girls. Then you have random bots replying to every other post attempting to shill crypto or AI. Boy, this retarded meme sure did age well!

The algorithmic timeline is absolute cancer now. Shows you old tweets from days ago, all of the worst takes imaginable on topics I'm not even interested in. For poltisperging, it is still fun, if you have the stomach for seeing the most ill informed opinions repeated ad nauseum, but for other niche matters I find it harder to use then before.

Also many libs fled when elon took over and were replaced with crypto indian bots, so if your niche interest happened to be full of libs, its a much quieter place now.

Edit: I'm too bad with computers to figure out how to add another reply in this post, but in response to DOGE being shut down, I was seeing some indication in the financial news elon is yearning to get out of government and back into his stumbling companies. Not really sure how his mere presence at the tesla office will help turn around a company based almost exclusively on vibes and a brand which he torched but whatever Im not a billionaire.

The problem with 2025 is given the insane comedy the current state of things is you can't be sure if her posting it on April Fool's Day is your traditional Fool's Day joke or a case of the good lord once again delivering very real insane news on that day as a way of fucking with our heads and laughing at our expense.

I mean, in a year like 2025, where everyday has been foolish and progressively so, does April 1st actually mean anything or does have it's usual significance? Can there be a specific Fool's Day when every day is foolish?
