A fuel fire will be excluded from the car interior by the bodyshell and any intact windows until it burns through the door seals or that little fuel pump access panel under the back seats, in case it's a plastic one. There's no fireproof coatings on the outside and the interior's only as flame retardant as domestic furniture.it will be burning under the rear passenger seat, which will be made of materials that are flame retardant very effectively against gas fires
All the Tesla (and some other manufacturers') battery teardown vids I've seen have found a mica sheet or some other sort of fireproof insulation panel on top of the battery cells, under the top cover. It's specifically to slow the rate at which heat from the burning battery pack is transmitted to the rest of the car.In a Tesla, the flames are going to be coming through every door entrance, many of which you may not be able to open in time, and then through the floor/seats.
