We have like 4 or 5 cybertrucks in our neighborhood. Everyone fucking hates them because they're hideous. Normal people who aren't familiar with it are like, "what the hell is that thing?" And everyone talks shit about it and the owner when they leave the store. They're giant in real life, and look like they were cobbled together with pieces of garbage.

If Musk and Tesla wanted to sell cars they would have made it look and haul like an actual pickup truck. They would have cleaned up the market which was really only Rivian and maybe Ford at the time as I don't remember when Lightning came out. Now people are realizing they're just an ugly SUV.

Maybe a car sperg can clarify but I’m pretty sure the base design of cars being pretty universal across brands and cultures is that over a century of engineering and millions of lives lost to previous designs has resulted in essentially what is currently the safest model while still being able to maneuver easily and effectively. Car design depends on rules mandated by nations(sometimes by state in the case of California), most of the fuel efficiency rules (CAFE standards ect) require cars to be built much less safely, and simultaneously more fragile, and expensive.
There's even shit like the chicken tax from 1964 economic policy that mandates a 25% tariff on all light truck imports.

Can't have steel cars, built with simple parts, they use too much gas. Drive this plastic and aluminum shitbox that will shatter if you look at it askance.

If latter, a bullet through the battery of a random Tesla should do the trick. One of the earliest Tesla fires was some retard on back seat playing around with a pistol and accidentally putting a round through the floor (read battery). Cybertruck has a steel outer shell (and is supposedly more rugged otherwise as well), so may need a rifle. Would be rather funny if it was some right wing version of Just Stop Oil tards.
