Its definitely fireworks. Lithium explosions don't have mid air secondary explosions with multiple colors, lithium burns a deep pink/red only. Some frames of the video you can see green. Its also the peak time of the year for fireworks other than the 4th of july so fireworks are everywhere.
I'm not a chemist so could be talking shit, but the batteries aren't pure lithium, I think there is cobalt and other assorted elements in there. Mixed in with the free burning lithium (red), could explain it?

It absolutely is. I've done plenty of research on EV batteries and the main concern is not that they suddenly explode but that they will burn for hours (possibly days, given the battery and charge). That, combined with the location and vehicle chosen, it really feels like a deliberate attack.
