By the way, this seems to have revealed that 46,000 is the total number of cyber trucks sold. That’s… not a lot. Musk’s vanity vehicle basically only impressed a few rich assholes and YouTubers.

Somebody speculated that the production line was sized for about 100K Cybertrucks per year, the break even point is probably not far below that.

BYD is the world leader in EVs, by far. And their main competitor isn't even Tesla, it's another Chinese EV maker.

And now that sales worldwide are collapsing, Tesla has to hope that it can hold on to a respectable level of sales inside the US. But even that isn't likely. The only thing going for Tesla are subsidies and protectionism.

I did a little research, and there are more US electric cars being made than I thought: the Chevrolet Bolt and Blazer, an EV-version of the Ford Mustang, the Ford Lightning pickup truck, and a few Cadillacs, and then the Rivian. Sales of all these cars are increasing rapidly. Up until last year, Tesla sold the majority of EVs in the US, but it looks like that is going to change this year.

That actually might give us some insight into reasons for this type of disorder: he hates his father so much that he wants to kill his bloodline.
