LGBT [Email] The Piercing and Bisexuality

In the US, yes. Especially if you're on public assistance for health care, as I presume Chris is; you have to satisfy both the treating doctors and the state funding program.

If you have the cash for medical tourism, it's pretty much no questions asked in quite a few places. Chris doesn't have the cash for mailing medallions, though, so no worries on that front.

I don't know if the state of Virginia will fund his sex change operation. I doubt he'll pass to get that. But then again, he never has the money for it as long as he's on the tugboat.

It's a huge mistake to try and re-pierce an area "a week or two" after an infection. He'll likely have some scar tissue as well. I really hope that if he's that desperate for a piercing to help define his identity, that he chooses another location on his body.

I think I've figured out the shop where he got this done, as a side note.
He could go for a nipple piercing... Now someone remind me, which of Buffalo Bill's nipples was pierced? The right one?

Chris won't get a sex change because it'd be too expensive and he wouldn't be permitted to get one.

And he definitely wants one. But I think it's in the same way that a 5 year old wants to become an astronaut.

That seems like a good way of putting it. He may want it hypotherically or abstractly, but not in a concrete way. He doesn't seem to talk about it. At least the stuff he has posted publicly he talks a lot about how he wants to dress like a woman, act a like a woman, be treated like a woman. But he never talks about an actual sex change.

I assume it must have occurred to him, and if it was something he wanted in a more concrete way he would have done or said something about it. Even if that thing was something ridiculous like posting on facebook about how we should send him thousands of dollars so he could become a woman. He isn't usually very private about stuff he really wants.

I'm going to be honest here; I actually like to see Chris post on Facebook asking for donations to fund his desires to become a woman through sex-change surgery. That way, I can see how people react to that.

I imagine Chris is anxious for the Unclit to haemorrhage so he can throw himself a little First Moon party

Oh god you had to say that again when it was my fault for mentioning that in the first place.

True on that as, correct me if I'm mistaken, but one must go through a rather elaborate psych exam to see if you are of sound mind to get a sex change, yes?

Yup. And saying things like "Umm, yeah, tibadism with hot dykes, umm is ummm yeah.... I can send you a wikipedia link...." is pretty much a guaranteed fail on that there psych exam. Hell. Like he'd ever get that far. Any psychiatrist that's worth half a damn would involuntarily commit him the minute he heard the phrase "flirt the skirt"

Chris' interest in sex has become a fetish, like it's mostly in his head. Physical sensation is largely irrelevant to him. To me, it's bizarre as hell.

Chris's head has never been wired right. If it wasn't the tomgirl thing, he would've developed some other paraphilia or fetish. Other than making people uncomfortable, it's pretty benign.

Wow. Okay, I think I'll just throw in my opinion about all the shitstorm.
So, the hotter stuff first: Ethics: Nobody cares if it's ethical or not, we are not here to be moral arbiters. IMO, as long as your "trolling" isn't causing any harm to Chris (or in Thetan's case, trying to help him become better), it's fair game. BlueSpike was something I wouldn't approve, but then again, Chris was stupid enough to go through with what he was telling him, so...

On the topic of the uniclit, thanks for the image, now I can sleep better knowing that no matter what kind of nightmares I'll have, reality is always weirder. Thetan probably saved Chris's fat ass by making sure he got that thing removed, and the location treated, and that's a tad bit more important than the morality of things. In the end though, I wonder how Chris will react once he realizes that his current life and social circle is just smoke and mirrors. I get the feeling this won't bode well with him, but if family experience tells me anything, the cruel truth is more helpful, than a pleasant lie.

Well, it doesn't involve anyone else, so I don't really care. I'm just saying, as a guy, I have trouble understanding it.

It's only a part of Chris' current social circle. Chris has been hedging his bets by looking for other girls and going to gay social events. He's considered that these people (well, maybe not Rebeckah) were trolls from the beginning and that he might lose out. It factored into his decision making.

Do you think that everyone and everything in Chris's life should be subject to unimaginable scrutiny, except you and your friends who fuck with him?

Okay, I feel like I'm wasting my time, for a number of reasons, but for my own mental health I just have to point out why this is stupid.

Everything that's documented about Chris, his family, his friends, and anyone in his life, is information that is publicly available or was given by the subject themselves. Most of the information was volunteered by the parties being documented, for one reason or another. Maybe they didn't know the information would get used the way it has been, but they still offered up these details of their lives to the wrong people even though they should have known better.

The people trolling Chris are under the exact same scrutiny, the exact same potential for harassment and documentation, and so they're smart enough not to readily surrender sensitive information about themselves. Asking them for personal data, and then flipping out when they say "Nah, I'm not gonna offer that up to you", is idiotic. Thetan, Alec, Marvin, whoever, they aren't being hypocritical. They're protecting themselves the way Chris never bothered to. By NOT revealing all their terrible secrets.

That's a really important difference. How can you miss that?

I remember a kid I want to elementary school with was picked on a lot. The "bullies" said they were helping him by teaching him to be less sensitive and emotional about the things they were teasing him about.

Not that I think Thetan falls into the same category as that. But "helping" someone involuntarily through deception or in a way they don't want to be helped is ethically tricky.

I just want to point out that saying you are trying to help, or even honestly having Chris' best interest at heart doesn't give you license to do or say anything you want.

I am not trying to jump on Thetan for this. She seems well aware of this. I think it is the main source of the ethical quandary she finds herself in. So I am addressing this point more to others who are thinking about what Thetan said or did.

I understand what you mean completely and don't want to get into an argument, but I think there's a difference between you as a child being bullied and Chris. Yes, Chris may have (for very lack of a better term) diminished capacity but he's still an adult who's been through the rigamarole multiple times. I'm not going to say what Thetan did was 100% kosher, but I don't think it was particularly bad or as damaging as other trolls and fakes in his life.

I feel like that on some level chris trolls have felt the need on some level to be "ethical" has killed the funny, and been part of the reason the Jackie to present trolls have been so dull.

Instead of getting Chris to do funny shit it's about "Tough Love", "Making him not da homos", "Go out and improve his life" ect.... Jackie and this new stuff mostly seems like people faking identities to nag Chris about about this crap.

People would howl, but I think for Chris to ever have a funny troll again it would require breaking those "rules". Whether or not anyone should actually do this is another question.

Eh, what you're saying is a combination of rose tinted glasses and the fact that Chris' life hadn't yet sunk back in the "good old days".

Chris can't be funny now in the way you want because the conditions just don't exist. I mean, for example, Chris' raging about sonic's arm color is exactly on par with the raging he did at the trolls back in the day. Why isn't it as funny? Because Chris' life is depressing.

It's not even about the quality of the troll but also about Chris. He simply isn't the clownshirted buffoon that jumps around his room on camera expecting it to intimidate anyone. (Seriously... "Chris is losing it"... what in the fuck?)

It all comes down to a simple fact: Today, Chris' reaction to trolling isn't just as funny. In the past he made an angry video, nowadays he (at most) makes a lame rant. No troll can change that.

And someone is gonna do it. That Keep Sonic Original Group is a magnet for weens. So no matter how hard we try to be ethical, someone is going to break the "rules".

That and he's suffering from constant depression. Its like he's given up on life and just lets depression stomp on him. Yet, the weens will continue to pester him for content.

To elaborate on what I said here, why was the "CHRIS!!! CHANDLER!!!" video so funny? (Y'know, "I AM NOT IAN BRANNAN SOMETHING!!")

Back then, Chris was getting super pissy about something inconsequential, something that no one cares about. If he had just given up, ignored it, and gone back to his life, everything would be fine. That was why it was so hilarious.

But that was back when Chris did have a life to go back to. Now, Chris is angrily ranting in the same way about Sonic's arm color. He's ranting in ALL CAPS, planning to vandalize the games themselves, etc. He's super pissed over something no one cares about. It's funny, but definitely less funny, because this time Chris doesn't have a comfortable life to go back to.

I wrote a long paragraph explaining my point of view and realize no one would care. So long story short, I agree but I think it also has to do with what the audience expects from Chris vs what they actually get.

On topic question though: do we know what Barb knows in regards to the piercing?
