i semi-watched it. a shitload more sketches and bits than i was expecting because the oscars cut all that shit out. seems like they focused way more on miniseries than they usually do too. say what you will about Rogen, he was the first presenter and straight up called out the fact that everyone is maskless and in this room tightly together. also wandavision didn't win shit but ted lasslo won a shitload. basically the blacks and brits swept the awards. pretty hilarious because that means the brits basically saw what the nigs did voting exclusively for each other and pulled the same move. these awards are just a racial census now.

I just looked at the list of winners (as usual) and saw that The Mandalorian unfortunately didn't win anything. I'm not surprised, but I still think Favreau should have gotten the Emmy for the directing award for the final episode of season 2. And at least they won some of the creative Emmys last weekend.
 
I fell asleep with the tv on and woke up to see some thot raging in the audience after SNL won for something. Flipped it to NBC to see a bunch of football-related commercials filled with black people.


lol there were only two nominated shows. Weird to see Martin Scorsese accepting the award.

Also #EmmysSoWhite was trending because all the acting awards were won by white people. I specify "acting" because I know at least one award went to a black woman but it was for writing so no one cares.

I don't care enough to check every year but last year four acting awards went to black people. So it's not like it's only been white people year after year, it's just that this year no black actors won so CLEARLY it's racist! It couldn't be as simple as the white actors just giving better performances/bribing more people/sucking more dick.

I don't watch it at all but i do remember a thread where the emmys were clearly trying to make it black only or something but they wouldn't shut the fuck up about orange man bad and lost a lot of viewership the following years.
