There is not such a thing as a "non-binary". The term comes from the actually sexist notion that a man or a woman who don't have stereotypical behaviors associated with their sex aren't such sex. We're binary because our species comes in pairs: male and female. The only way I'm gonna believe you're a "non-binary" is if you have a set of genitals that aren't either female or male and they manage to procreate another human being.

I wouldn't say there's no such thing, but it's a useless term because it doesn't describe anything observable, it's just a feeling that doesn't have to relate to anything in reality in any way shape or form, so it can only be used to talk about yourself, you can't describe someone else as "non-binary" unless they identify as such. They weren't happy with the word "androgynous" because it actually describes something, you can't be androgynous if you don't display both masculine and feminine characteristics but you can conform to masculine stereotypes throughout your whole life without the slightest hint of femininity and still identify as "non-binary", because why the hell not. It's just lazy narcissist bullshit really.
