Encounters With SJWs/Tumblristas Offline or In Unusual Communities

JFC. You don't have to be mentally ill to be a fucking sociopath psycho that shoots people because of "muh opinions."
If that were true, most psych wards would be a bloodbath of patient-on-patient violence no matter if they were in there for a mental break due to extreme untreated anxiety or a very bad schizophrenic episode after coming off their meds all the way to someone who just happens to act out their delusions violently, I mean according to tumblr logic that the term "psycho" throws all mental illnesses under the (short)bus. So we must all be fucking blood-thirsty maniacs, right?

-Finding SJW people in the JoJo fandom is so fucking bizarre. It's like they have blinders on that block out the "problematic" shit (Dio. Dio is problematic.) so they can focus on batshit headcanons. Then again that really happens in any fandom so why am I surprised?

Not so much in an unusual community, and certainly not IRL, but I recently witnessed an SJW on twitter get triggered by John Cleese because he called the Orlando shooter a "psycho".

John Cleese couldn't give half a shit about SJWs.

John regularly has the PC Police commenting on his stuff. I feel quite sorry for him - it's clear he's rather confused by this new brand of social justice. Still manages to be hilarious in his responses though.

He's not confused at all by them. He's openly contemptuous of them.

It leads me to wonder why the hell this person was even following Cleese or reading his tweets to begin with given that Monty Python were known for their controversial and un-PC humour.

You can't be a true SJW if you aren't intentionally upsetting yourself. Also what kind of name is soapachu? Are they a Sonichu character?

I thought these kids' idea of comedy was limited to bad cartoons and dumb puns. Dunno they even know of the existence of Monty Python.

This person did as they were indirectly tweeting rants about Cleese, his achievements and his marriages for a good while after this occurred.

There's another big shitstorm concerning the webcomic "Stand Still. Stay Silent" that was mentioned before by @hiroyuki.

At this point of the story, the main characters stumbled upon a well-preserved antique store in an abandoned Danish town. The author, Minna Sundberg (ethnic Swede living in Finland), uses this episode to show how little the characters know of the pre-pandemic world, as well as foreshadows the possible existence of isolated survivors elsewhere in the world. One of the characters finds a Chinese book and the crew debate about the name of the language - their low-educated flamethrower guy Emil suggests "Ching Chong".

That was enough to trigger the sensitive Americans, Brits and Australians. They flooded the author's inbox with threats and vitriolic comments, demanding to redact this part of the story altogether and apologize to offended Chinese (i.e. them - actual Chinese from the PRC were okay with it). A similar shitstorm occurred in the Disqus comments. Minna had to remove the comment section and change Emil's suggestion to "kung fu". However, unlike other artists that bow down to SJWs, she expressed her frustration at the sensitivity of her English-speaking fanbase and said she won't navigate around all the things that offend them.

Some Twitter salt remains in the replies on Minna's Twitter - unsurprisingly, the complainers are absolutely not Chinese or even Asian.

Before that, people were once again arguing about 'representation' and the author's moral 'obligation' to shoehorn minority characters into the story no matter if they fit into the setting or not. The author ignored them.

Right so. Story time.

Had a friend in high school. We'll call her Shay. Back in the day, she was always very bossy. Liked to throw her weight around and order people about. She had this boyfriend named Pat with whom she seemed to get off on making his life a living hell. Always ordering him around, always shaming him for things he wasn't responsible for, constantly making him play gallant knight to attend to her every whim. Then she up and dumps the poor guy at the end of the school year because she got bored with him. I was young. I drank the Koolaid and bought whatever bullshit excuse she told me at the time on why her breaking up with him (and utterly devastating him) was a great idea and we surprisingly stayed friends.
Cut to years later and Tumblr increasingly becomes a thing. Shay quits dieting as she sees that it's "a construct of fat-shaming" and slowly spends the next few months morphing into a small land whale. Becomes heavily addicted to Doctor Who and spends the entirety of our visit together sperging about it while I make sidelong glances at the door for an escape. The following year becomes addicted to Homestuck and starts identifying as "aromantic asexual" despite having a girlfriend and suggesting that they move in together and get married. I ask her how that will work if she's asexual and she tells me that she intends on using the marriage as a way of mooching off funds from the government for cheaper living while remaining sex-repulsed. Wow. Keep it classy. I don't buy it.

She visits me one last time in the spring and by then I'm done with this nonsense. She's dyed her hair this ugly shade of bright blue at this point and whenever it's really sunny she literally SWEATS blue. During the visit she constantly tells me to check my cis privilege and whenever I make an offhand comment that doesn't conform to her world viewpoint she actually smacks me hard upside the head and knocks me over. Like wow. Someone has entered crazytown full force. I cut her out as do any of my sane friends that knew her and here we are in the present.
Today she has several kintypes, still identifies as aromantic asexual in spite of bragging about chicks she's banged, self-diagnosed herself with borderline personality disorder and autism, is a member of the fat acceptance movement, and usually spends her time blogging about how cis people are apparently cancer for existing and how men are scum of the earth.
It's amazing what a few years cruising the SJW movement can do to someone who already wasn't playing with a full deck.

Well, duh, that's because the Chinese are too stupid to realize what is or isn't offensive, so they need Mighty Whitey to speak on their behalf. /sneed

In all seriousness, good on the author for calling out on this bullshit. No one needs to dumb down their creative work just because a few oversensitive nitwits got their feelings hurt.
