I learned from a friend of mine that someone from my high school is a raging sjw now. To be honest, I wasn't surprised at all. I remember back in history class, senior year, Islam came up as a topic, and this chick just went off. On one hand, she started off by saying how all Muslims are treated as terrorists and that us Americans should be ashamed. Then in the same breath, started saying how disgusting it is Muslims treat women and blah blah blah *insert the patriarchy comment here* and just a bunch of stuff that it was so clear she got off tumblr. She berated Americans for stereotyping but did the same exact thing. I'm not one to argue with idiots but being a Muslim, what she was saying didn't sit right with me,and I promptly told her to stop acting like she knows anything about this issue.

And then she said I'm white so it didn't matter what I thought. She was later told to leave the discussion because everyone politely listened to her but refused to let me try to explain why the things she said weren't all correct.

She later went crazy on Facebook, "calling out" white passing Muslims and saying that they should not talk over the oppressed.

Sad to see people don't change

Something similar happened in my English class this year too, which, sadly, was filled with tumblrinas and sjws (but not as bad as I thought it was going to be, they somewhat reluctantly listened to facts.) I happened to be wearing a bracelet with some inscriptions on it from the Qur'an (I usually never wear jewelry but my uncle had just passed away and he was the one who gave it to me so I thought why not?) Any who, these girls just kept staring my bracelet for the entire class and was greeted with a lovely email when I got home saying that it was offensive and that what I did was cultural appropriation.

The ass kissing I got the next week of class. At least they apologized right?

I mod a community with a strong free speech policy, and some SJWs in it are scaring people off. Every time someone brings up race they flip out and start accusing other people of whitesplaining. They are the worst kind of SJWs who support doxxing (not in my community though), insulting people, piling up and generally anything to get rid of racists or diet racism in whatever way they can. They constantly bring up the academic definition of racism, which I don't think serves any purpose but to confuse other people and derail the conversation (it's actually a huge pet peeve of mine) One of them blames colonialism and white people for everything, I mean everything from other cultures being racist to environmental degradation.

OTOH I'm also annoyed at the people in the group that keep arguing with them. Race should really barely be talked about at all, and I've argued with the SJWs and their tactics without getting accused of being a racist so I think if other people are going to whine about how they are mean bullies, they could just not argue with them. But I still don't like seeing people leave over it.

Sorry, I just wanted to vent. SJWs make everything far more complicated than it needs to be.

TL;DR: In Rotherham, UK, there's a huge number of individuals (almost entirely of Pakistani descent) who have formed honest-to-god rape gangs and have, through a combination of a corrupt police force and adopting SJW tactics (accusing anyone who could stop them of racism), essentially got away with raping over 1500 children over the course of two years. This blossomed into an international incident, with the UK stepping in and essentially firing the entire government of Rotherham over corruption charges.

This is a terrifying bit of bullshit that is disgusting for everyone involved. Your average person in Rotherham now has to live in fucking terror over knowing whether or not their child may be a target. These unfortunate people now know that they have a government that actively seems to be supporting the victimization of their own kids.

Second, innocent Pakistanis, and indeed, anyone of Arabic descent, who lives anywhere near Rotherham is now a target, and now have to live in mortal fucking terror of being associated with a group of fucking child abusers and molesters, despite having done nothing to conflate the contrast. Rest assured, people will do this, and take advantage of people's fear, and it will mostly be the likes of hate groups. It's fucking inevitable.

The tragedy? The "Racism" defense? The one they stole from the SJWs? That isn't the reason this happened. It was just one defense against it. Those who let it happen did so because of their relationship to the attackers. One government looked the other way because people in it had friends and allies amongst the attackers. Now, we have an incident that makes humanity as a whole look like shit.

Tell me about it, my City is the most multi cultural city in Europe, I can think of but there is a growing anti muslim sentiment because of the community actions they do, I grew up having a Muslim friend who's family has been here before the 30's and he say's the community has changed and he wants nothing to do with it now. He is apprehensive of going to a few Mosques in the City due to the kind of preacher that's there.

Let me tell you about Rei. No wait, let me explain a few things first for context. I'm an artist by trade, specifically I like doing comics, like been trying to make it into the big leagues, have had a con table at the biggest cons in the province for 4 years, business cards and invoices, serious into comic art.

Rei used to play Hero Clix at the local comic store and my husbando was the main judge and organizer. Rei immediately took a shining to me, cause “OMG women in the comics, how progressive.” Fine, I've dealt with that patronizing bs. Rei started considering me a friend and would come to the comic art group at the store as well despite drawing worse than Chrischan. So Rei one day comes up to me and says he wants to hire me for a comic project and we can get together and talk about it. I figure fine, guy's patronizing but it puts money in the bank and possible pages in the portfolio.

So I meet him and he goes over this thing about 2 female leads, one an Amazon with one tit, one a Valkyrie, Wizard of Oz characters bs. At the time it wasn't furry porn so, even if it was garbage it was less garbage than I had done for cash. I do a few quick sketches and ask when the script will be done. Rei says a week or so.

Week comes and goes, Rei asks for more sketches which I skirt around since he's provided nothing so far and this shit ain't a joke to me and my time isn't free. I ask where the script is and he goes on about how he's got writer’s block, give him some time. Fine ok.

6 months later he keeps coming out to events I'm at trying to cozy up to me cause I danno, girl who does comics is some kind of vagina unicorn or something. No script still. I ask why and he goes on about how the writer's block is bad exetera, how his mom is being intrusive and he can't be himself at home. Real sob story shit.

He shows up one day at the comic art thing in full drag. And it now trans. Fine, whatever. I wanna get this shit over with and paid. Rei invites me out and I'm like “fuck finally” cause I'm thinking we can actually go over a script. Nope, it's her birthday and I get to hang with her trans friends as they make out on the couch. All the while I put up with this, waiting for the script.

A bit after that I get a message from Rei saying that the script was up to 2 pages. 2 pages in 6 months. I'm honestly a bit of a bitch about it and then apologize and explain I had an argument with husbando. Rei takes this time to tell me that they love me and I should leave husbando of 5 years for them. I'm bi, I should, boys are all cis scum anyway! Real women like women!

I gave up I told them I was fucking done with the patronizing bs, and the assumptions that I was “less of a woman” than they are because I'm not a rabid feminist who thinks boys are icky. Never seen that fuck again and am fucking glad of it. But the husbando's got them on facebook still and watches them freak over imagined slights to womanhood in comics and video games.

In America, we don't have widespread problems like this in the Muslim community, as Muslims here are more likely to be targeted for hate crimes than they are getting into any kind of organized crime. Tumblr has a very US-centric bias, so that sort of thing would be unthinkable to most Tumblrites.

When i went to uni there was a tradition to hold a cortege each walpurgisnacht. Before it starts it is common to bring your kids, who are too young to stay up, to the construction site to watch the vehicles.

I can't strictly call her a Tumblrista, because I knew her before I was ever aware of Tumblr. She was definitely in the SJW mold, though. She was a pot-smoking, occasionally transgender lesbian Native American artist, and every single thing she wrote was about a pot-smoking lesbian Native American artist character who was usually being oppressed by The White Man. OK, including things from your native culture or personal experience in your works is cool, right? Everyone does it, and it helps add dimension to your writing. The problem was that she had no other ideas.

Worse, she had no other topics of conversation. She would monopolize discussions with her themes, her work, her inspiration, and how all of them derived from her incredible experience surviving the gulag of modern-day America which can't tolerate a pot-smoking lesbian Native American. Everything was about her oppression.

Her work was ... not commercial, shall we say. She was writing a novel themed around the medicine wheel, but it was borderline-incoherent and, as far as I could tell, consisted mainly of the main character struggling against a world which hated her for being a pot-smoking lesbian Native American. She would take up massive amounts of time at our scheduled readings, and nobody ever dared to say "You've used up twice your allotted time, and now the others following you won't be able to read" because that would have been an attack on someone bravely bringing forth her narrative of the intolerance faced by pot-smoking lesbian Native Americans.

I have no idea what happened to her in the end. She probably graduated and won a shitton of literary awards.

I don't know much about how the UK works, if these motions are just feel good ideas, or if they're actually binding on colleges and their student unions.
