Sometimes I revisit ED for the lulz to relive the old internet. I'm amazed how many pages have been untouched, preserved in time since the late 2000s. Whenever a mirror of ED goes up it's like stepping into a time machine. There's a lot of things I don't miss, but that doesn't mean all of it was bad.

As they should. I was never a registered user but i do remember the day when i wanted to just read about some spergs some more and got greeted by that OhInternet bullshit. Fuck DeHippo. I might be misremembering but there were tons of articles gone after the restoration, not only WhatPort80 stuff. Some of the portals were absolutely barebones afterwards.

Anyways, good rewrite, nice trip down memory lane.

Site used XenForo v1.21 when I was around. I overhauled both the hosting and MediaWiki. There were actual bots on the wiki when I was around.
Forum was a lot more active then the wiki near the end.

LikeIcare was... Important. My memory might be lying to me. But he was a pure force of chaos.
When he wasn't selling his ass or ED for heroin money - Zaiger was kinda important too.

The one thing about ED that I distinctly remember was all the 2000's era furries it catalogued. Shit was fun to read at 2 AM when I couldn't sleep and had fuck all to do.
