End of the Information Age and what comes after

Captain Chromosome:
My personal hope is that the increase in ML/Algorithm entertainment and the growing distrust in anything you read online will lead to a larger portion of society tuning it out and only trusting what they see and interact with in person. After that, niche anonymous internet forums can prosper in peace and they'll be separate from real life.

AI frightening all the normies off the internet causing the web to experience a 2nd golden age. We can only hope and dream.

I've yet to really see any active luddite communities taking shape anywhere, so that's that. Maybe give it another 5 years or so?

People have been aware of this for a long time.
Unfortunately so many people are completely oblivious to the fact it's coming sooner than they think under the illusion that their government would protect them so they're completely blind to the fact that the technology the use enslaves them slowly. They are fed on bread and circuses and that's what they're so used to, so a new powerful gadget that could do absolutely anything can feel so amazing to them. Their attention spans have diminished so much within the past few years making it harder for them to listen to a long going information PSA that they won't be open minded to hear anyways. The internet has been reduced to a simplified nature of monopolies running social media that demands conformity and lots of wild west 2000s internet websites end up being abandoned or shut down. Whatever skills they have developed somehow, the future generations would never develop that said scale leading to dependency. Why learn to make something if AI can do it for you. It's going to get more insane from here. Existential Crisis will be incoming for the masses in the next few years.

Next is the Age of Equality.

We will finally transcend gender. Every person can be the gender that is in their head, right now this very second, even if it changes every second, and nobody in all of society will instantly know their new pronouns, treat them exactly as how they want to be treated, and not be put off at all. Vaginoplasty will really work, and nobody will ever regret a double mastectomy.

Black people will simultaneously no longer be expected to live up to cruel, racist standards, like being on time or not being high at work, yet will equal the achievements of whites in all respects. Despite, for example, no longer being subject to the racist expectation of learning algebra, they'll produce just as many aerospace engineers as whites and lead us into the next age of hypersonic aircraft.

Women will be the equals of men due to sexist bigotry finally being purged from our minds by ChatGPT. Female Olympians will break male Olympian records. The Russian Army will be defeated in the field by all-female battalions. We'll see full equality in everything from aggressive Wall Street investing to underwater welding, meaning women will be the majority of these jobs and make most of the money.

Homosexuals will stop dying young of weird colorectal diseases, because normal people will stop stigmatizing anal sex. Women will have more anal sex. Straight men will have more anal sex. Everyone will agree that anal sex is healthy and normal, which will enable schools to finally start teaching children in elementary school how to do it safely, which means the end of prolapses, amoebic dysentery, and HIV (which is also destigmatized but also disappears).

The terrible effects of Gamergate will finally be eliminated from our society. The Republican Party will no longer exist. Every video game will have black, trans, and/or gay protagonists, and sell very well, especially if and when the dev team has no white cis males on it. All D&D dungeons in all games will have wheelchair ramps, all-gender bathrooms, and villains with non-problematic motivations. Hillary Clinton will finally win.

I'll give you a white pill, not everything will be homogeneous and sterile. There are and there will be people still capable of creating something independent, especially now, when there's plenty of tools available for them. Even you can create something half decent, be it a game or a program. I am sure with increasing surveillance there will be counter measures for it. There's always someone who becomes so irritated with things that he'll do something to change it. Be patient and be observant

I define an age as any invention large enough to alter the average joes work life to the point it creates new politics. I think the next age is the machine learning age
