Anyone experiment with tech?
Due to an old fascination with fallout and warhammer40k, I've always been keen on power armor.
One of my longstanding projects has been to integrate a small motion activated flamethrower into a gauntlet equipped with electrified knuckles.
The results have been mixed, with my learning of electrical work increasing dramatically, and the flame thrower working well enough (though I'm encountering problems with a quick release component to kick the accelerant out of the gauntlet in case of compromised casing or fire being actually on the gauntlet)
I'm curious what you Kiwis work on, and how its been going. (avoid powerleveling, of course)

I'm not engineer, but maybe this will help

This is a fuel tank quick release for racing bikes. Perhaps you could have a electric-powered mini moter hook to the pins to pull it out, with a strong spring underneath to eject the canister.

literally the only cool parts of power armor are the shoulder pauldrons, upper torso, and helmet, none of which are particularly difficult to build or buy

Astartes armor would be badass if it were like an Iron Man exoskeleton that had more physical strength than the wielder.

I once read somewhere that somebody invented a bionic arm that was several magnitudes stronger than the human arm is, like it could curl something like two tonnes.

Those gloves sound awesome, the ultimate self defense system. I hope I don't see someone turn themselves into a piece of charcoal on the news, though...

I've recently moved from an apartment to a shack in the woods and the lack of modern amenities (like double pane windows and central air) has led to some interesting problem solving. Currently working on making a modular telemetry system for cars that is easy to retrofit into anything.
