I'm pretty new to the lolcow culture (or whatever) and I'm just amazed, reading from the beginning of a thread or ED article, how almost inexorably it seems there's a transition from heterosexual -> genderqueer -> woman impersonator. Quite frankly, it seems that there is a great deal of truth to the old insult that transsexuals are just failed men. It's strange, too, in that it should be very obvious in advance (and yet never seems to become apparent to them) that life is much harder as an ugly man in a dress hitting on the two percent of women who are lesbians than as an average if awkward dude hitting on straight women. Maybe it's an intentional fail at life with a built-in excuse?
