Dammit. Well, it's something I guess.

So depression seems to be a pretty interesting topic amid the Entersphere with people commenting that Enter has helped them deal with their depression. I’m not an expert on issues like this, so would someone who is mind explaining this form of “depression” or how depression works in general and how to cope with it?
If it was genuine, then perhaps Mr.Enter is doing a good service to them....but judging by what the Enterbots have claimed to be depression, it's highly unlikely.

"Growing Around is an upcoming American animated web series created by Johnathan Rozanski, his butt-buddy Kyle Murdock and Meghan Molony."

HARHARFUNNY. NOT!

"An animator named Rachel is also part of the staff, as well as Mark Beaulieu, who is creating music. The series centers around the Dunn family, consisting of Linda, Sally, Timmy and Robert, who live in a generic and inoffensive town named Summerway."

Summerway isn't that bad of a name, actually.

"According to Rozanske, he hopes to get the web series televised nationally at some point in time. However, it is very clear to even the most unknowing observer that the series is doomed, and that this lofty goal will never happen."

Proof of that last part?

I'll give them some credit for at least organizing it decent.

Origin[edit]

the cast
"Growing Around was first "thought up" (read: taken almost verbatim from other places) on July 16, 2014, shortly after MrEnter had ranted and raved upon the series of dropped pilots "Shorty McShort's Shorts.""

Everything is taken from something else in some way, nothing is 100% original.

"The idea -- where kids would have the roles of adults, and vice versa -- basically came about just because the dropped pilot didn't work the way MrEnter wanted. Shortly thereafter, MrEnter began to push for getting his "idea" broadcasted nationally -- likely on Discovery Family -- despite the fact that Discovery Family has a similar show with almost the exact same premise. In spite of this, MrEnter to this day continues to stubbornly push along to get his crappy series made along with his asskissers, when in reality no network, not even his arch enemy and go-to place for ideas, Nickelodeon, would want to accept this pandering bullcrap."

How is it "pandering" any more than most other shows out today? Or at all, really?

Why Growing Around is doomed[edit]
"First off, both of them react very poorly to criticisms based around the series, andEnter's ego they think they would be able to get this greenlight by a major network,"

They only react strongly to people saying to scrap months of hard work, that's right, SCRAP MONTHS OF HARD WORK. What would YOU do?

"not understanding only one of them has some form of talent or training, and the other is just a low-life autistic cursing out writers."

Real mature.

"Here are some awesome parodies of the series -- something vastly better than what Entard could write."

What exactly was funny about them?

"However, Enter still manages to get support for the series via the hugbox known asDeviantart, where everyone except for a few people kiss his ass and tell him that it'll be a great, if not the best series, to ever air on television, even though it has a very slim chance of ever airing on a network, and Enter needs to realize this dreck is as bad as the shows he reviews, if not worse."

That last part says you don't watch his stuff. Growing Around doesn't have :insert character here: Torture Porn, Idiot Dads, and the like. HOW is GA worse than the shows that do?

Backstory of the Show[edit]
"Since the show has literally no series bible,"

I'm sure SpongeBob doesn't either.

"a few concepts have been pulled out of Nayolfa's ass, that have no relation to each other. The first one he asspulled at TVTropes was, in his own words, "after a war started by greed that destroyed 60% of humanity. The adults of this world put the innocent minded children in control in order to keep society from falling again", which considering the target audience would be a really disturbing thought for the kids that knew about it, as many of the TVTropes users called out. Later at the Kiwi Farms he changed it to a kid ruling an ancient nation inspired everyone else to as well, which is really illogical and an extremely dumb concept for the show, considering for a hard concept he has to create for the show, he doesn't even try, despite the criticisms given to him."

I'm bringing this up because these people call MrEnter a "sperg" for pointing out plot holes, and what are they doing here?

"The series premise is that children have overtaken the societal roles of adults from them. Oh boy, where have I seen that before? Codename Kids Next Door? Lord of the Flies?, etc."

That's really reaching there. They're not even about the same thing.

"There's not even anything creative being done with the premise, just regurgitating ideas we've seen before!"

It's still in its early stages.

"Like, a "genius" gag of a narrator exploding, stolen SpongeBob jokes, fart humor and adults reading comics."

Narrator exploding: that's actually unique. Probably been done at some point but not a cliche.
There are no stolen SB jokes.
Fart Humor was only in the first draft of "My Pretty Pony", which he removed.
That last one = NITPICKING.

"There are also very little logic or lore given for the series, and what we have were likely just pulled out of Murdock and Rozanske's asses. What happens when adults manipulate kids? When kids get greedy or into fights? Where do teenagers come into play? How does childbirth work?"

Now look who's "sperging."

"Where did it all go so wrong? (Drawn by Nayolfa, MrEnter's best bud.) These were the original designs too."

Okay.
Cast[edit]
  • Sally is a Mabel knock-off.
  • Linda is a prostitute.
  • Timmy is one-note.
  • Robert is Rozanski's own self-insert.
  • Jerome Jase is the 2edgy5me character.
  • Kathy is the token cute character.
  • Talula is the bitchy egotist with the most personality.
Sally is a Mabel "knock-off" in the sense that Naruto is a "knock-off" of Goku. Timmy is not one-note. What's wrong with Robert being his SI? Kathy wasn't just there to look "cute". Not even going to address the rest because they're just lame jokes.

"Exceptional" Writing[edit]
"The writing for the show is utterly generic and lowbrow a vast majority of the time, and occasionally Mr. Enter's hypocrisy emerges."

I'd like to see you prove this.

"For example, in the episode My Pretty Pony, while he always makes rants on fart jokes, with the sole exception of his review of Perfect Chemistry, he included them... three times in the script."

#1: He did say they CAN be funny
#2: They weren't funny, which his fans said, but he at least REMOVED them.

"He said in his Perfect Chemistry review that fart jokes had the potential to be funny, however in his script they were literally just shoehorned in just to be there, and others told him to remove them, one of the rare instances of criticism of his show (or anything really) on Deviantart."

This is the only thing I agree with so far.

Fanbase[edit]
"Not surprisingly given who makes it, the fanbase of Growing Around -- despite the fact that the show lacks a completed series bible and has no pilot yet, and is nothing more than drawings and ideas -- is almost legendarily god awful."

Show me Growing Around Rule 34, which everything has, then you can tell me it's "almost legendarily god awful". Ironically I say the hatedom is worse.

"For example:

“growing arund is a fantastik seeries. Your just jealous of his talent, yo trols„
—A Mr. Enter fantard in a vandalism attempt on this page, shortly after being created. They really are this stupid."

Nothing is wrong with this post except the spelling, I'm not one to say people are hating or jealous, but it does come off that way at times.

"The show also technically has a fan-made Wikia made by Daan, but with two whole pages (one of which is the main page), Daan being the only contributor, and the last edit being on February 8th, the place is pretty much dead in the water. However, as of February 17, 2015, he plans to update the dead wiki... somehow.

Also, believe it or not, the fact that Mr. Enter is creating this shit-series has inspired another idiot, 03bgood, to make a new Powerpuff Girls rip-off called "The Power of Four". What's common between these two shows is that they're made by people with no experience, they claim to be getting a lot done, and the chances that either of them have to get on live television are minimal. Clay Claymore rightfully called both of them out in a Twitter post, saying they were "rejected TV show names"."

Clay Claymore has NO idea what he's talking about, not just about GA but about ANYTHING. I'd say more but I'm off topic enough.

Enter's Reaction to Criticism of the show[edit]
"As usual, Enter is not responding well to criticism. Any single time a foul remark is made, or even a mistake is pointed out, Enter will either get angry and have a temper tantrum or block whoever made the remark."

Because most people are just telling him "it sucks" or "scrap all your hard work".

Fairness of Criticism[edit]
"Many may argue that criticism of the show is a bit unfair, considering the show is not even out yet."

I can't say I agree with this, but then you have to consider everything I stated above...

"To be fair, the concept would be creative - if the idea was not taken from a Disney Channel pilot and the characters were not all rip-offs and self-inserts."

I'll say it again: Naruto wouldn't exist without Dragon Ball, and the two are so alike in some way. Is it a rip-off? No.

"The writing isn't anything spectacular."

Explain please or else you just prove that one person who vandalized your page correct.

"It is common knowledge that if a critic wrote a show/movie/play/etc, he/she would use it to counter things he/she did not like about other things he/she has reviewed. In layman's terms, a critic would use their show/movie/play/etc as an outlet; something to "fix mistakes" from things they have reviewed."

Which he did: There's no Timmy/Sally/whoever torture porn, no more fart jokes, etc. Plus it's still in its initial phases.

"Sometimes, this is not a large issue. However, Enter is particularly unfair with many of his criticisms, such legitimately despising the writers of an episode of Spongebob Squarepants. This, in turn, will most likely make the world of Growing Around an unoriginal and bland world where nearly nothing ever goes wrong."

I'll admit he can take his hate of writers too far, but he has every right not to like the things they create. Things DO go wrong in the world of GA, but that goes without saying.

"As for the animation, we will have to wait and see."

I certainly can't wait.

Well, someone has a lot of time on his hands.

So depression seems to be a pretty interesting topic amid the Entersphere with people commenting that Enter has helped them deal with their depression. I’m not an expert on issues like this, so would someone who is mind explaining this form of “depression” or how depression works in general and how to cope with it?

One of the first things you need to know about depression is that it generally last a long time: months, years in some of the worst cases. After that, the way people cope with depression really depend on the person, some people will disconnet themselves from the world while some others will continue to have a social life as if there was nothing wrong.
But way too many people nowadays associate "feeling a bit down" with the medical condition of depression. Depression isn't something you get over in three days.

I'm also pretty sure that AnimatedJames' "depression" was more of a feeling of frustration caused by the repression of his fart fetish than anything else.
