You know, i would believe this except that i know for a fact that it isn't true, unless there has been a very recent change to the way ad video views count, or the cases i know have the ad videos unlisted separately for... some reason.
There are a couple of videos on Youtube that i know caused an uproar in a country i work in, they were ran on Youtube as ads, but their views are only in the tens of thousands. They are from this year. One of their videos is about saying hatespeech is illegal, in a country where hatespeech is not mentioned anywhere in the law. The video has ca. 10 likes and ca. 13,000 dislikes, with ca. 44k views at the time of writing this. It's hosted on a verified account too.

So, looking at Epics holiday sale it seems people get a 10$/€ voucher for their purchases, which doesnt change much like BL3 goes from 38.99 to 28.99 and RDR2 goes from 47.99 to 37.99 (ironic since it has the same 20% discount as on steam), but apparently people are going nuts over this and screaming how awesome Epic is and how greedy steam is for not giving people such vouchers. I mostly saw the praise from the Russian gaming community, which I can sort off get since you get a voucher for 650 rubles, which is a decent toss up in a way, but to people who reside in Europe an US? Eeeh....not really.

So I have not been paying any attention to EGS since the Shenmue 3 exclusivity deal was announced; im not a shenmue fan, that was just the point I wrote Epic a wordy email telling them no amount of free games would make me continue to use their shit spyware and had them delete my account. But that being said, everyone has been talking about how much money they are spending on exclusives, and how they dont really have as many games as they should to compete with steam, gog, or microsoft, so my question is this: At what point if any does EGS run out of games to give for free? Like is there a realistic point where they have given pretty much their entire library away for free? Im also curious as to how much the whole free games for everyone every month gambit has cost them, I would imagine close to the same amount as the exclusivity deals. I have heard of some people that have multiple EGS accounts just to redeem the free games and force Epic to pay out the cost of them, which I am not even sure if that would work as expected, still its funny to think of a bunch of internet rando's sandbagging epic like that.

Well, thus far Epic has been giving away mostly indie games, but also stuff like Metro 2033 Redux close to a major AAA game they gave away for free. At best, Epic will eventually start giving away some old triple-A games or they'll wait till some other indies will sign up for them, not even for exclusivity deals just those that already had good sales on Steam/GoG and have those be part of the free give away market.

Haven’t the past few Steam sales given out an endless supply of $5 vouchers that you could get simply through using the store and/or through earning points (even points from past sales, i.e. the Grand Prix Summer Sale)?

Some dude was quite literally able to buy a Valve Index, a $1000+ headset, using just those vouchers that he purchased with points he got from having a massive backlog from the Lunar Summer Sale.

Epic’s got a single $10 voucher that either doesn’t do jack-diddly-piss for any of their most popular games or only benefits Russian users, if they’re lucky.

Hahaha, I forgot all about that, and I claimed a bunch of those. It never got me to spend a red cent on Origin. I'd just go there, claim the freebies, and then never bother with them. When games aren't on Steam, they're just out-of-sight, out-of-mind.

FYI, because that guy did it you no longer can't. Steam does vouchers as well as letting Devs give out coupons. The thing these fucking mongoloids don't realize is that Epic doesn't have a shopping cart, so its on one game. Not to mention Epic has to pay money for those vouchers.

well, there's gog. and I still use uplay. keys are usually cheaper and if not there's still the 20% voucher you get just for playing. client itself also isn't complete cancer (it only requires admin rights, someone need to punch the frogs in the dick to cut that shit out).

I basically got around 440€ worth of vouchers, and Steam never went back or cancelled sales, like any greedy company would have done; as usual they owned up to their mistake and let people have the stuff they got through a somewhat poorly thought out system.

If this were the case with Epic, them reverting the sales would've been a 100% possibility, with a likely possibility of account suspension on top of it.

Wasnt it sort off the deal with their 1st sale? They didnt inform the companies, thus something like BL3 an Bloodlines 2 were on sale, while costing even less in Turkey and Russia. Plus, later on people who bough BL3 on said sale couldnt activate the game upon said release. Funny thing, I do recall some people bringing up said Grand Prix sale an saying how the poor indie devs suffered because of steams "greed".

For russians it's easier to just pirate if they have no spare money for vidya. Pirating isn't a big bad thing here so everyone does it. Steam did a great job here to make people pay for games and offered appropried prices.
Tho steam Christmas sale is more cheesy for me, many games are dirt cheap now. One 650rub voucher doesnt mean shit when many AAA games on steam has ~70% sale.

The Unreal Engine is actually used in a lot of productions. In Anime, 'No Guns Life' uses the Unreal Engine for its 3D sequences. so it isn't a shocker. Especially given the show's aesthetic.

While i'm not sure where i'm pulling it from (i think i watched an interview or overview or something on TV back when i watched TV, but i can't find anything on the internet), i could swear that the original run of Samurai Jack used Macromedia's Flash as a tool for a lot of the animation. If that's the case, using really any game engine for compositing and animation isn't that outlandish.

Taking a quick look through the Games Pass list on Microsoft's site, every one of those games is available through the PC pass except for Little Inferno (which has no real gameplay and was a waste of my $6), Yooka-Laylee (notoriously awful), Cardpocalypse (which has exactly 3 reviews on Metacritic across every platform averaging a 78 with no user scores) and A Kight's Quest (which has a 58 average with no user scores).

That makes all of the good games available alongside 172 other games for as low as five dollars on a better platform with cross-play, stat tracking, integrated email and cloud services and a functional cart and update client. Even then based on my experience with the PC pass I'd say it's absolutely not worth the trouble of dealing with Microsoft's shitty broken store and obnoxious DRM to play them. This leak is dropping at the same time as the Steam Christmas sale, where you can buy all of the listed games for no more than $15 each and coincides with the launch of the Steam store pages for all of the Epic exclusives from the previous year.

Merry Christmas and good luck in the new year, Sweeney. You're going to need it.
