At least Steam is being cleansed of shit games.

Hahaha. Randy Pitchford would suck a cock for a dollar. Now that his ass is getting sued, he most definitely needs the money.

Welp, if they are gonna announce Borderlands 3 on Epic, gonna enjoy the backlash for that. Shame though, I did enjoy the series.

It's been unlisted in a futile attempt at damage control. The dislike bar and endless amount of negative comments speak for themselves. Congrats with doing irreparable damage to your brand in one fell swoop, Snapshot Games. Hope that extra Yuan was worth it.
Now, I don't give a shit about this game and find the entire dumpster fire quite entertaining, but at the same time, i'm still annoyed because antics like these will most likely deter people from backing more legit projects in the future.

Edit: Reading through the subreddit, it seems Snapshot Games have set a deadline for refunds to April 12th, and now backers are reporting difficulties with the refund process. Stay classy Julian and friends.

Snapshot Games is scummy as fuck. They make a game solely with the financial aid of their backers, promise them GoG and Steam keys for the game, then shaft them all when Epic offers them money. These fuckers wouldn't even HAVE a game to put on Epic's shitty store without their backers, and now Epic has basically paid them off and they're thinking "Fuck the people who got us here, we've got what we wanted from those chumps."

You know what I hope? I hope all their backers demand refunds, then grassroot the fuck out of Snapshot, hounding them day and night on all social media platforms making their malfeasance nice and visible for all to see, tanking their company's reputation and costing them enough sales to completely destroy their company.

Further, what they did could potentially be criminally actionable as the crowdfunding campaign stated that GoG and Steam keys would be forthcoming, creating an implied contract... which they have now broken.
If I was Valve, I'd Peter Thiel the fuck out of them. Secretly finance a class-action lawsuit against them for the breach of the implied contract. Snapshot got $2 million from that deal, but Valve has a warchest worth billions. How much of that 2 mil do you think Valve could bleed out of these fuckers in court with little loss to themselves?
And a harsh lesson taught. Be greedy liars, get destroyed.

Gollop(s) have a history of bad business decisions. Good games, bad business decisions. Going to Epic probably won't mean that they will cease to be, again, because the publisher execs used the revenue on coke and whores and wasted away the company and put the IP of their game in a nightmare licensing state, so that's progress!
