Richard was still living with him after he became Bimbo Barbarella and (mostly) ditched his shit eating toddler sex slave act in order to better take care of Al when his health started going downhill. Al appears in almost all of his recent YouTube shorts going by the nickname "Cat Daddy." Their relationship seems to have mellowed out since then and during Richard's final years they were for the most part a normal couple.
