This nonsense from Tony (and Jack Turban) about the 'ethical impossibility' of 'withholding treatment' from those who may be assigned to the placebo group in a blind trial is possibly the most annoying instance of 'cart before the horse' I've ever come across. The point of the blinded RCT is to establish that the treatment is effective (compared to placebo) IN THE FIRST PLACE. If you are doing a trial, you haven't established the efficacy, so 'withholding' the treatment from the placebo group assignees doesn't mean anything - you are only 'withholding' an unproven treatment. There are trials of novel cancer treatments all the time in which people with the cancer are assigned to the placebo group. No ethical problem.
Aren’t the subjects usually required to sign consent forms that say they understand there is a possibility they will receive a placebo anyway? I’m not a doctor or researcher but it seems like that would be a pretty simple way to quash the withholding treatment argument.

Hey folks! 2024's legislative cycle is coming. My team is interested in finding people with experience in data automation and web scraping and google sheets. If you've got good experience on that front _AND_ are someone with a long history of trust on LGBT topics, message me.

I haven't seen any indications that Tony has a minion, unless he's counting Zac. I'd thought Zac was still employed at the University of Montana, but I wonder now if he's quit to focus on being Tranny AOC full-time.

Substack still shows Tony as having "thousands of paid subscribers", rather than "tens of thousands". He's on the normal Substack subscription rates of $5 a month or $50 a year, with Substack taking a 10% cut, so he could be getting anywhere between $45,000 a year at a minimum and $540,000 as a maximum from subscriptions. So it is possible that he's paying himself and Zac from that income.

Lower estimate
= annual subscription × 1,000 subscribers × 90% cut
= $50 × 1,000 × 0.9
= $45,000

Upper estimate
= monthly subscription × 12 × 9,999 subscribers × 90% cut
= $5 × 12 × 9,999 × 0.9
= $539,946

its also possible to do an RCT with an older drug, so the patient is still receiving some treatment rather than a placebo. you can
then compare the effects of the new drugs to the old.

but yep, the treatment Tony advocates is completely untested in any meaningful sense so would require a proper placebo.

i've not read the paper but i wonder if in addition to the mood-boosting effects of testosterone, which are well known, the patients also receive any mental health treatment from whichever provider was assessed? almost certainly not, cos that would be conversion therapy and therefore evil but could certainly further confound their results.

interesting that they only looked at TIFs, presumably they could repeat the same with TIMs.

three months trial over the effects of destroying your life forever. very convincing.

also, if it really is life saving treatment, you don't wait 3 months. if you're mangled in a car crash, bleeding out, you don't wait 3 months for treatment. if you have a massive heart attack or stroke, you don't wait. if you have sepsis or gangrene or something, you don't wait 3 months. if you are in a mental health crisis and a genuine risk to yourself and others, you don't wait 3 months before being committed (not here or the states from my understanding anyway, though our mental health treatment sucks i won't go on that tangent right now).

even the NHS which is in fucking crisis can treat a life threatening infection immediately, and get suspected cancer checked out within two weeks.

also, hi Tony frens. missed you, and most importantly Tony's extremely thorough and 100% factual reporting.

Had a great time with https://nitter.net/brotherjones_ & friends during my brief visit to Nashville.

Great conversation about courage, coaliton, and the fight against authoritarianism, as we both work to ensure that our actions can take root as part of a bigger movement defending democracy.

Also, shout-out to the street sign stickers right next to where we ate breakfast. Having a gamecube controller and "Let trans people live safe and full lives" sticker right next to each other is beautiful and made me feel seen.
:story: That brow ridge. I wonder if he'll detransition before he gets goblin-affirmation surgery like Tony.

Man, that's some Kevin Gibes level "Doesn't even register as trans" presentation. You'd think someone who thinks sex is partly determined by hair length would be wary of cutting it that short.

He's still looking for someone to show him how to automate his simple daily tasks?

A "long history of trust on LGBT topics" sounds paranoid, especially from a dude who himself couldn't show that qualification.

Think I almost threw up in my mouth at these tweets and those shirts. Political LARPers are the worst, when the non-violent revolution that overthrows the state permanently comes we won't guillotine them but we'll definitely be mocking them publicly.

That said, I did note how much more casual and unstaged fun Zac's stupid trip looks compared to his ones with somebody else...

Oh God. I said Zacs new haircut looked good but that picture must have been right after someone else styled it because it looks awful now . Looks like baby's first hair straightener + unwashed grease + male pattern baldness

Honestly is he detransitioning? looks even more like a dude now.

He's starting to look eerily like one of my guy friends from high school.

I don't think he registers as trans, he registers as 12.

"Makes me feel seen". No normal "cis" person goes around needing to be "seen", people just go about their daily lives and usually don't give a damn what random people think of them or their "representation" in shit they consoom. I am sick and bored of these NPD fucks with their Main Character Syndrome and forcing their perverted lifestyle that defines them on other people. This is why the public start to hate you, troons. You're pushing way too hard and people do not like it.

It's how robots talk. No one says that, they'd say "Wow, two things I like in one place!" instead of focusing on their identies as you said. The retarded gender comic from Steven Universe also had the "I feel seen" robot statement, which also felt jarring but feels like it has slightly more merrit as a short hand for "I feel respected and welcome" (also retarded).

He's got the vocabulary of a teen mixed with parroted phrases he's heard online. He can't seem to write his words and speeches himself, even if he's the sole writer. Erin Reed's mind is more fried due to LSD and he still feels a bit more intelligent (relatively) than Zach and most troons.

The trans are sending their best, and their best is these clowns.

I suppose looking at it like this, and in a teenspeak context, it makes more sense to me; feeling unwelcome generally can't be nice. However, they are perpetual victims even with so many accommodations and attention specifically for them, so I can't believe it's entirely wanting to be accepted and getting on with their day to day without hassle/feeling ostracised from communities. At this point I think it's gone way beyond that with more and more troons/pooners and the narcissism they all seem to have is fuelling their "activism" for rights (read: trans supremacy) which will be their downfall. (Sorry if this is a word salad, I am very sleep deprived).

That comic has nice intentions, but for most "I feel seen" it does mean "I am appeased in my demands of you" rather than feeling like a person. It's a slogan you can chant for power. I'm sure the T appropriated it from another community that's likely more of a minority than them as well, thus cribbing stuff from actual marginalized people, lol. I'm sure entitled people in those said minorities abuse it too.
Zach is weird in how he needs a clear "these two things here are you" to feel seen. I need to be catered to precisely, not just boy do I love both. You're fine, go to bed if you can!

It generally doesn't much push, if any sometimes they just state it outright, to get a troon to make clear that their vision of a "respected and welcome" form of acceptance involves mandatory affirmation and praise of them by everyone else.
"Why do women get complements for existing and I don't??? :( " Pussies. Praise and affirmation is nice but god are most too lazy to earn it, and think that being is earning it.

WOMEN OF THE KIWIFARMS: Have you ever felt inadequate or doubted whether you're up to a task?

Listen to me very bigly and very strongly:

ERIC ANTHONY REED IS LIKELY EARNING 6 FIGURES AS A TWITTER-SUBSTACK INFLUENCER!

YOUR DREAMS ARE ACHIEVABLE! YOUR DREAMS CAN BE HAD! IF HE CAN DO IT THEN LITERALLY ANYONE CAN MAGA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's still looking for someone to show him how to automate his simple daily tasks?
he is looking to elevate other individuals with marginalised identities. he's using his platform to help others righteously fight against genocidal regimes.

this isn't about him being too lazy and thick to accomplish simple things that can be learned using a free tutorial or two. we know he's an expert data collector and analyst from his spreadsheet of the changes estrogen caused as he became a true and honest woman.

Had breakfast with https://nitter.net/brotherjones_ yesterday, and this morning it's breakfast with https://nitter.net/NebraskaMegan! My little cross-country road trip continues!

We chatted about accountability, how to help good folks get elected, and how to ensure our efforts in our states conpliment one another.

Lookin' very feminine, bro:
