Also sorry for double posting but I just watched that horrendous video ( sound off).
He says that any therapy that tries to understand whether dysphoria is stemming from depression, sexuak abuse, or any other factors is conversion therapy. I know its obvious, since he is a mod on egg_irl and pushes informed consent clinics, but here he explicitly says that people with gender issues should not get any therapy that explores if there might be another cause. Just go take hormones and chop your dick like I did...
The utter lack of care for people's wellbeing that paints any form of treatment that doesn't result in permanent body mods as some kind of abuse is staggering.
This is, I think, the only mental illness where people who have it will urge people
not to go to therapy or seek treatment that isn't 100% the same as they did.
I can't think of any of the people I know with mental illness - some severe - telling someone else to not at least explore therapy and medication, even if they end up only needing medication for a short time.
Further, if therapy and meds didn’t help, all of the people I know would urge them to find alternative ways to treat their illness and be happy for them if they found something, no matter what it was (within reason; hard drug use or alcoholism excluded). Especially if it meant that person not needing meds, because we all know these drugs are
harsh and expensive. Those of us stuck on them for life are kinda jealous, but still happy for the lucky person who just needed to take up running.
You
never see that attitude in trannies. I don't know if it's crabs in a bucket or if they're afraid that if someone else they know (or know of) went to therapy and found out their gender dysphoria or whatever is because of a treatable mental illness, then maybe theirs is too.
Narcs
hate being wrong. It breaks them in ways normies can't understand, unless you've been near one. It could be just fear of being found out as a fraud, which is as painful to a narc as the diagnosis of a terminal illness where you're expected to live only weeks is to normies. They are fundamentall broken people. Obviously this is projection on their part, as person X not being trans after all doesn’t mean that they aren't. My diagnosis has no bearing on anyone else, if I think you have bipolar disorder but it turns out you're just really depressed, it doesn't make my diagnosis - or myself - any less valid (God I hate that word, but it's appropriate here).
