Nah, invisilign doesn't work for my teeth. I got FFS paid through insurance. In America, teeth bones get no such benefit.
I am likely gonna be getting braces soon though, hopefully after Pride, when I can get a moment to breathe lol.

Shit, PARENTS think about their children, my apologies to attentative dads. My mom and dad both took me around places in the summer and made sure to make time for me even between work. edit: Amusingly in the 69 page (nice) ruling striking down Tennessee's drag ban as unconstitutional the judge only refers to Miller because the state brought it up as a defense of the law and he basically dismissed it as irrelevant (in part because the legislators didn't appear to understand it either) lmao, Tony can't hold all these L's man, go easy on him judge.

I actually don't think veneers will fix the issue because his problem isn't just that he has a huge gap - they're also sticking out from his mouth and veneers won't fix that. You can also hear it effects his speech (horrible "female" voice aside), so it's pretty shitty that his parents didn't have him have braces as a child.

But he'll likely need veneers too because there will end up being large gaps between his teeth. They're a mess in all honesty.

I don’t disagree that Tony’s lack of critical thinking is striking, but I don’t believe he’s ever shown himself to have ever been a thoughtful person.

I haven’t gone back and reread his historical (ie pre-2019) posts, so take this as my informed gut feeling about it, but what comes across was Tony’s belief that he is brilliant and right, not that Tony had considered the matter at hand.

There was a long period where he was referring to his PhD as a done deal, and he flunked out. In the 2016 election cycle he was presenting himself as the new Nate Silver, talking about how he was more accurate than everyone else (and raising money off the back of it - search this thread for his Benchmark Politics Kickstarter campaign), but his prediction for the election was way off.

Tony’s MO is to speak in a seemingly authoritative way about some topic, but the things he says are psychologically self-serving and are untethered from material reality, though this is very likely not a conscious process. He might say something that is correct, but that doesn’t mean he has come to the correct conclusion after seriously considering the topic, he’s just saying what flatters his existing beliefs and prejudices, but a broken clock is still right twice a day.

Tony likes to be seen as an authority figure, but it doesn’t follow that he has ever been an informed authority. He is just convinced that he is smart and therefore what he thinks is correct.

in addition to the PhD and political pundit blunders you mentioned, his thinking he's so clever for giving people a xanax if his lsd clients were having a bad trip shows his total lack of consideration in what for a caring person would be quite a high stakes context. he doesn't know what other drugs they have taken, he doesn't know if they have paradoxical reactions to benzodiazapines, he doesn't know if they have the tolerance of a rhino so his little pill won't touch the sides.

i do get the being amazed that he held down jobs that would appear to show some critical thinking sklls and intelligence. he got them for the same reason anyone gets a job, being the least bad candidate, then likely kept them by avoiding serious mistakes and confusing people with his authorotative manner. its not like he was doing the sort of jobs that require you to know some highly specialised techniques where it becomes super obvious when you're in and supposedly applying them.
