Again, Tony is making the argument that Biden should not do things he (presumably) thinks is correct because they don't boost him personally while also saying "I don't think you should lead with polling to determine what is right" before dismissing polling which likely helped Biden decide to do this because Tony cannot fathom any moderates of any kind exist.
The Biden calculus was some form of: how good this is + how popular this is = whether or not I should do it.
Tony seems to be saying instead Biden's calculus should be: how popular this is among a small part of my base = whether or not I should do it.
I always hate when the troons shit on girls who are complaining (or people complaining on their behalf) about troons who placed but didn't get first place. The troons will say "durr hurr hurr some girls beat them". Yeah, but they're still displacing the girls below them who still deserve to have their rightful ranking recognized.
It's also important to recognize that it's not just the winning and losing, for many of these girls it means things like scholarships and other opportunities. It's how you make national teams, etc. That means the effect of a male in a race isn't just that he beats the girls in the races, it's that they all get punished for it permanently. Riley Gaines coming 4th instead of 5th could mean all kinds of things open up to her.
They have no solution or answer to this, especially because they are clueless it's even part of it.

Finishing first isn't the only thing, that's why there's
bronze and silver medals in the Olympics. These people are saying they don't give a shit about anyone who doesn't finish first. That's the black-and-white all-or-nothing mindset all these people have and why they're constantly miserable.
