Esperanto: The most naive project of all time?

And to think then William "Captain Kirk" Shater starred in Incubus where everyone in that movie speak esperanto.

If it were a language that helped you express your deeper thoughts and emotions better yeah, but Esperanto just seems to be some weird combination of languages ment to "bridge" people and is more focused on being political rather than practical.

Alot of things in life weren't made with rational consideration and that same rule goes with languages, I would be interested in a more useful made up language that allows you to communicate thoughts faster, with more depth and without mistake but such a language doesn't seem to be that widespread.

The thing about deeper thoughts reminds me of Greek, in Ancient Greek they had a formal language that was extremely precise where words had exact definitions, and then there was a loose trade Greek (koine) with dumbed down grammar and more vague vocabulary as well as more figurative language. Similarly the rationale for liturgical languages being that it’s necessary to preserve the same language to preserve the precision of words that cannot be translated exactly.

One place where that Greek really shines, for example, is in how they had several completely different words for love, each completely distinct and referring to a specific recognizable version of love.

You’d get better mileage learning Klingon or Quenya than you would learning this autistic babbling
