$ (ETH) Ethereum - ETH and the Ethereum Project General Discussion

Like @irishAzoth said, few know what they're doing. I'd add that even less know how the markets work due to the massive number of factors but that doesn't make it unknowable. If you comfortable with what is essentially gambling at this point, it's never too late until it is too late. Make sure you are prepared to lose a bit what you put into it.
go for it and get into Defi apps on Ethereum
if not Algorand, Cardano, AVAX are there
(I am not a financial guru I don't know what I am doing and neither does anyone else)

Thanks. Put some in at a low point to just see what happens. Nothing I'd be too beat up about losing.

eth is hot right now because of the new ETF released in Canada.

I expect the flow of capital to slow down soon.

Edit: etherum is now underperforming within hours. Selling pressure is on. SELL NOW. GET OUT BEFORE IT REACHES $100.
ETH is still up 35% from its low last month. What the fresh hell are you on about?

I believe a mix of FOMO and the belief that crypto is a complete waste of time and a ponzi scheme. I can't exactly say I blame him, his arguments are pretty logical, but there is absolutely zero logic to what we've seen crypto do so far.

He's right about the coincel cult, some people out there are cashing in on their vested retirement balances and taking out 10%+ loans to buy up. I think you're pretty dumb if you don't have at least some crypto, but I think you're a retard if you have ONLY crypto.

My Ethereum portfolio just got me approved for a home loan. Mission accomplished on that front. Now I just need to actually find a seller in this crazy market of free money. Just made an offer 6% over asking price with inspection waived and immediate closing time.

Under normal market conditions I would tell myself to invest in rope and a chair, but I've more or less convinced myself the clock is ticking on locking in actual property. And since I shoved a good chunk of my free cash into ETH when it was 1,600 back during the GME nonsense, yay me.

ETH 10k EOY 2023
May be faster then that if institutional money keeps buying it up and futures contracts keep getting issued. ETH is also looking to be completely decoupled from what Bitcoin is doing. Plenty liquidity, it absorbed the futures shock like a champ and anyone who moved into it for safety (like me) is enjoying life right now. I am off my ATH, but my portfolio doesnt look like a Indian massacre anymore thanks to Ether.

Ethereum is positioning itself to be the backbone of the new digital economy. As all these crypto clearing houses like Coinbase begin trying to offer actual financial services like transaction cards and so on, they are going to need a network to run off of and it's not going to be Bitcoin. The whales and the the Chinks have essentially screwed the pooch when they decided they would rather use it as an store of value rather then something of actual use beyond that. ETH by contrast has incredible flexibility of use as the literal gold standard for a massive network of various financial products and services. More importantly it seems to have a deep well of stable liquidity that is not dependent on the actions of a few early adopters swinging their dicks around. ETH really went through a stress test this month and it passed with flying colors.
