my thoughts are that Dax will try to surprise Jim with Ralph, except the ambush tactics wont work; and when Ethan gets mocked again then Dax will end up fucked. Ethan will blame him behind the scenes and if Dax says the wrong thing then, Ethan will burn the bridge. Like he did with Rekita, it won't be destroyed but it will fray enough that its going to collapse soon after.
Having said that, I put Dax in the same "why are you still with this guy" category as May. I could understand back when NP2 was going on because he was hyping up the site and bringing him literal money, people forget Dick seeked Ethan out when they first met. the Killstream was the biggest platform Dax was on back in 2018, and it really did bring in the viewers, but by 2021 its more trouble than its worth.
Honestly burning Ethan would be the best thing for him at this point, his reputation since 2020 has been dogshit, Ethan is a dumb easy target who is guaranteed to lash out, like Maddox was in the beginning of the podcast. the problem is Dick is as thin skinned as Ethan, the second Ethan mocks his leathery girlfriend Dax will tomato out hard. they're literally the west coast and southern versions of each other. But it would provide the thing the dick show has been missing since the lolsuit ended, an actual arc and reason for being. Dick needs an enemy and Ethan would be the best fit. also they've been together long enough that he has stories he could tell about ethan on air the same way he did Maddox.
Beyond that he hasn't needed the Killstream, especially the modern version since NP2 ended, if he wanted to go on a show where people idolize him and has a huge reach especially on youtube, there is WATP. they're much better to play off of too. its not like Ethan who is terrible at being a host, co-host, riffer, and guest. Killstream was great with dick on in 2018 because he took callers and had a shitload of weirdos to bounce off of in real time, plus zidan made his role near fool proof, so Dick just introduced stories then could sit back and riff off of gator, zidan, and the callers.
But now its literally talking to a fat wetbrained fuck, Dick was hyped to hang in 2020, but now he makes up every excuse to get away. might as well burn the bridge and use the content, especially because you could then do the podcasts and do episodes with Nick R. and probably PPP, and basically get the same feeling he had when he was up aganist Maddox. Ethan has the same number of haters as Maddox had, tons of burned bridges and people that wouldnt mind hearing someone do middle school tier-jokes about a joke of a person.
of the 100 people still watching ralph who's going to quit paypigging dick over this? probably 0 in fact having another enemy will literally be the shot in the arm he needs. plus Dick's staff clearly hates Ethan too. you could tell by the maddox funeral that Ethan's place in the hierarchy has changed massively. Ethan was given free reign of Dick's studio before then, and once that show happened suddenly Dick starts treating him the way you do a booty call. not replying when they want to talk, dropping him when plans are made to meet up. even when they go out of the way to make things more accommodating he literally feigns injury.
I'll admit that i wouldn't have waited until Metokur to burn the bridge, but this is literally the right time. there is a 100% shot that if Dax streams the interview on youtube it will be sniped or bootlegged. if Dax was smart he'd release the show live for free, because the amount of paypiggies he'll get from the interview will be more than he's gotten in the last 3 years combined. Metokur guarantees a 10k audience, easily 100x as many that watch live. this is literally like finding out the lottery numbers the day before they're pulled.
TL;DR Dick could redeem himself more than anyone else if he burns the bridge, Metokur brings in so many paypiggies dick could double his patron bucks roasting the pig, this could be his maddox 2.0; he clearly doesn't value the friendship might as well burn it down.
If Ralph doesn't have an absolute meltdown on Twitter today over Dax having Jim on, I would be suspicious that Dax is trying to play both sides here behind the scenes and plans on having Ralph come on and "ambush" Jim like Shaffer planned with Rekieta.
that won't work, Dick already pulled that shit on null and Metokur literally suspects it will happen. its not an ambush if the guy knows and will fuck Ethan up. plus Ethan destroyed his friendship with Nick over a fucking joke, so it will basically destroy the relationship once Jim turns him into a laughing stock on the stream. You really think seeing Dick laugh his ass off at Jim's bants won't destroy Ethan?
We all know Dick will do it anyway but its not the right option whatsoever
