Ethics of reproductive coercion/similar against men and rights when in regards to parental control & liability - (Contains NSFW talk and scenarios)

Reproductive coercion is rape no matter which gender does it. If some crazy bitch gets pregnant after lying about being on BC , the man should have the right to a "financial abortion". End of story. A baby isn't gonna make the man stay, or fix a failing relationship. Life isn't a Disney movie or a romance novel. Women need to be held accountable for their shitty decisions now more than ever and some people still think it's the 1950's.

This is also why I support universal contraception and legal plan B. Having a bunch of miserable families and single moms running around is bad for society.

Scenario 1. No sorry that’s tough. Nobody’s fault, but no contraception is perfect, they’re both responsible for raising the child.
Scenario 2. Woman’s behaviour is shitty and reprehensible. Both are respond to raise the child - if you’re having sex with someone there is a chance they can get pregnant, and there is no way to tell if someone is lying or not when they say ‘oh I didn’t want it.’ Terrible behaviour but again, both of you raise the child.
Scenario 3. Same as two. It’s really shitty behaviour on her part. Both of you had sex, there’s always a risk, raise the child.

If you’re in a sexual relationship with someone, there is a chance of pregnancy. At the end of the day the kid is the responsibility of both parties. The child is innocent.

If I didn't want to get hit by a car I wouldn't have gone out on a sidewalk. Life is not fair and actions have consequences. Agreements between humans hardly ever are worth more than the paper they're written on.

You didn't want it, but it happened. Raise the damn kid. If you don't want to raise kids just don't put the sausage in the bun. And that goes for both sides

Jesus Christ what a dystopia we live in where both sexes are so disconnected from each other that we need to even consider this

Marginally off-topic, but at the end of the day, the reason why sins are called sins is because they bring nothing to us but misery and our own despair, which is exactly what the devil wants. They all stem from ego/ pride, and as anyone who has ever dealt with someone that has a lot of ego/ pride can attest, you don't ever want to be around them that long, as even if you can't perceive it, the stench of death just wafts off them because they refuse to be humble and loving to anyone except themselves.

I'm not saying these people should be drawn and quartered because we ALL need a chance to be forgiven for the sins we have committed, both physically and in our minds through the act of repentance, but on the same merit you can't condone this behaviour if you want your society to have even the remotest level of stability, as a stable society cannot be founded on principles that lead people to their own despair, even if they're meant to resolve difficult edge cases, because when it all comes down to it you cannot trust other men or women to fix your problems for you in a way that doesn't manifest the holy spirit (to be fair it's not possible to know if you're manifesting the Holy Spirit by your actions, this is more of an 'if you act in accordance with Christ's teachings, even without being a Christian, the Holy Spirit is moving through you in some way' situation than anything else), as such this 'help' will only leave you worse off than you were before.

'Trust ye not in Princes in the Sons of Men, in whom there is no help'.

Abortion is just a unique form of this sin that the woman is uniquely qualified to carry on their back alone.
Sort of. A man can commit the mortal sin of abortion if he consents to the abortion, assists in procuring one, coerces the woman into getting one, induces a miscarriage without her consent, or impairs her judgment in some way that prevents her from fully consenting. He doesn't have to be the father of the child, either.

If the mother gets an abortion on her own, she's the only guilty party. In any case this is automatic excommunication and one that requires absolution from a bishop, not a priest, to lift.

Very, very serious, the only things comparable in terms of punishment for laypeople are open acts of sacrilege, heresy and schism.

I was hoping for a general thread and then I clicked and got to see the full title.

Honestly this has always been my take when it came to stuff like this. If you aren't whoring around/participating in casual sex then who the hell needs to worry about contraception, STDs, "accidental" pregnancy, ect. It shouldn't be that difficult competently dating around and finding someone worthy enough to be your partner for AT MINIMUM three to four years.

And if you AREN'T already thinking about marriage/future life by that point in a hypothetical like that, then you're a fucking idiot.
All these hypotheticals only matter if you're irresponsible and aren't married. Don't have casual sex with strangers and you won't have issues, simple as.

Very easy. Already solved.

Step 1: No premarital sex.
Step 2: No divorce.
Step 3: No abortion.
Step 4: Cheating is punished by caning.
Step 5: No child support needed ever, as she can't divorce.

Did I reinvent the wheel? Yes I did. This was common practice.
