I hope that's a joke post
- fedoras
- Japanese style swords and door indicating possible weeabooism
- libertarianism*
- literally edgy euphoric atheism

... it has to be a joke.

*(the stereotypical euphoric fedora'd neckbeard seems to be libertarian for some reason)

Because they probably read too much Ayn Rand, and Rand's philosophy was basically, "screw you, I got mine?" (Same as their's)

I love how these guys always try to act like they're total erudites who know everything there is to know about modern science and think using big words for the sake of using big words make them so much better than people who happen to have their own faith. Especially when you take into account that many scientists are religious and even pope Francis himself has quite a history in the field of science.

Also, a ton of their heroes (Isaac Newton, Galileo Galilei, Nicholas Copernicus, Rene Descartes, etc) were actually devout theists. Hell, even after Galileo was put under house arrest by the Catholic Church (no, he was never executed), he still considered himself a Catholic. Not to mention that, after the fall of the Roman Empire, Christian monks painstakingly copied tons of manuscripts, books, scrolls, and other writings so the knowledge would be lost. Also, Muslims preserved many ancient Greek writings, which allowed them to eventually be translated into English.

And the philosophy that religion should hate science is a recent one, started by atheist historical revisionists. So they’re the reason for making their own goddamn enemies. Here’s a post written from a historian’s perceptive on how these myths evolved alongside a review of a book that sets shit straight: http://armariummagnus.blogspot.com/2009/10/gods-philosophers-how-medieval-world.html

There seems to a subgroup of “New Atheists”, including the aforementioned Skeptic Feminist, that are also Soviet-fags. Because mindless worship and misinterpretation of notable works of literature is okay when it fits your ideology. Usually they use the Space Race and the school system as proof of atheist superiority, but those schools weren’t too different than the ones you find in America now: focused on grades and politics above student needs. And sure the Russians got to space first, but it was a goddamn disaster that killed tons of people, leaving to government cover-ups. Cracked (of all sites!) has a decent primer on this (take the Morse Code rescue message stuff with salt, it’s never been confirmed): http://www.cracked.com/article_19142_5-soviet-space-programs-that-prove-russia-was-insane.html

Didn't Newton practice Kabbalah and read the Torah to find out when Jesus was coming back?

We can settle this dispute with the edgy atheists simply by apologizing to them.

"I'm sorry your mom made you go to church and you weren't allowed to wear your dark eyeliner and slayer shirt in youth group. Please stop the awkward fifteen year old stage of arguing with volunteer part time librarians on whether or not the Bible belongs in fiction. This isn't even Griselda's normal week, she's covering for Mrs. Jefferson and she doesn't speak English very well or understand the pasta with eyeballs on your shirt."

Didn't Newton[...]
I don't know about Kabbalah, but Newton did predict that the Rapture would occur in 2060.

And speaking of people who were intelligent scientists and theists, there was also Emmanuel Swedenborg (1688-1772). I briefly mentioned him earlier in this thread. Swedenborg supposedly had an IQ of 200, was a prominent scientist in many fields, served on the Swedish Board of Mines, moved out of his mom's house, didn't wear a fedora, and claimed to see into the spiritual world and an entire new way of looking at the Word. Contemporaries described him as rational and friendly.

This is a bit of a simplistic view of the Soviet Union's religiosity. Just because the government wanted to get rid of religion it doesn't mean there weren't any religious people or even Churches in Russia. The Soviet Union was prone to using the Church to drum up support for causes (such as Stalin using the Russian Orthedoxy church to rouse patriotic support against Hitler's invasion of Russia). While the government sought to eliminate the church altogether there were still millions of religious people and by 1975, 5000 Russian Orthedoxy churches. Along with other faiths.

As for education, America's education system is much more of a joke compared to a lot of different countries since they defund it.
So I came across an atheist who believed that religion is like living in a cave today

Was he referring to Plato's Cave or did he mean a more literal cave?

Considering what this thread is about, I think it's safe to bet on the latter.

Tell me more about this fedora who fails to understand what faith is.
They were complain about Christmas. And if they weren't allowed to celebrate it, then Christians shouldn't be allowed access to medical care. Then they said they wanted to celebrate Christmas because they wanted free shit.
