Skeptic Nikki had her original account terminated some time ago, but she made a new one.
She's had quite a kick of euphoria lately.

I find it abhorrent when these people post pictures of themselves captioned with some atheist creed, for the public Internet's consumption. Especially when it's a woman. Whatever message they're trying to convey is corrupted into "social media up-cummies are better than God".

The name Jesus comes from the Hebrew name "Yeshua". The Greek version of "Yeshua" is "Iesous" which Latin speaking Christians wrote as "Jesus" - you pronounce the letter J in Latin like you pronounce the letter Y in English. Christians who speak Arabic say "Yasu". None of those names have anything to do with Zeus.
The Quran (which serves as the "corpus" that Modern Standard Arabic is based on) calls him 'Isa. Did the name used by Arab Christians evolve divergently?

It seems like Arab Christians widely use the spelling يَسُوعَ which is just a transliteration of Yeshua into Arabic. To give an example of how commonly used it is, Arabic Wikipedia uses that spelling for the page for Jesus instead of any other spelling.

I'm sure there's an Arabic-language wiki war over using that spelling instead of the spelling from the Quran, but the Arabic use of Yeshua is indisputably older.

Christians who speak Arabic like Copts and Maronites say Yasu. Muslims say Isa or Isa ibn Maryam (which literally means "Jesus, son of Mary"). If you want to be neutral you say al-Masih ("the Messiah").

Some religious concepts have different words which people from different religions use. Christians call Christianity "masihiyyah" (literally "Messiahism") and Muslims say "nasraniyyah" ("Nazareneism").

"Ancient Nile spiritualists" were some of the first converts to Christianity - Alexandria was a Christian city until the medieval era and Christianity became the state religion of Ethiopia before it did in the Roman Empire.

This kind of pretentious psychobabble is fairly maddening. How the fuck is Jesus possibly Zeus? Zeus was some dude who turned into animals to rape women constantly and shit like that. I don't remember a part of the New Testament where any of that shit happened.

Religion causes all wars.
Please for the love of God tell me he is joking. Does he have any idea how dumb of a take that is? Yes, religion has been used as a justification for war. But that doesn't mean without religion we'd have no war. In fact we'd probably have more since most religions detest pointless violence.

Someone needs to tweet this faggot a list of counter examples

I've been trying to explain the difference between a "cause" and a "justification" for 20 years. Some people can't grasp it.

But honestly, we'd have about the same amount of wars, since neither religion nor a lack thereof solves the issue of "that guy over there has resources I want...".

If you try hard enough you can make anything scream as insane. Let me try with Atheism:

Atheism is the belief that a specific deity does not exist. This entity, known as El, Shaddai, Yahweh, God, Jehovah, does not exist at all, and the community must gather into groupings to repeat in mantras that this being does not exist. Oftentimes they also reject the notion Yeshua ben Yusuf, a messianic Jewish preacher, does not exist either despite records detailing his existence more than some. These groupings often bleed outwards where they with a fervor only seen in evangelicals try to make others affirm this belief too, despite efforts to proclaim they are free of this entity's influence.

When faced with deities or entities from communities judged to have a higher melanin count than the Atheist, they remain silent or actually gush over and accomodate their community. This is in spite of the fact that one of such entities, known as Allah, is identified by Muslim communities AS being Yahweh itself. It is suspected that melanin count is a mark of some sort to the Atheist, as they experience a generational guilt ironically similar to the Christian concept of sin.
