I think Sodom and Gomorrah is a perfect illustration of what unchecked degeneracy does to rot a society. And I think a gay gangrape of two visitors to your city qualifies for a harsher description than just "asshole."
That also leaves out that Jesus existed prior to Muslim/Mongol invasion/rapefests making the region a whole lot more brown than it was. But Euphorics don't tend to have a proper understanding of history.

I do recall seeing a scientific depiction of Jesus looking like a Mediterranean man, which is what I would expect Jesus to look like considering the fact that darker tones didn't come about until after the Islamic Conquests of the 7th Century. I found a lengthy post that goes into detail, particularly about the Shroud of Turin which more recent testing has shown the relic to be from the 1st Century AD. It truly is a mystery with euphorics and their worldview. Getting fired for just being an atheist is pretty much illegal in the US. To me, it seems like this guy has a victim complex that justifies his atheistic outlook.
He's like the autistic guy who gets fired for being a complete asshole and thinks it's discrimination. It's illegal to fire someone for being an atheist but it is entirely legal to fire someone for being a complete asshole, and I'd reckon he was the latter and wouldn't shut the fuck up about his euphoria while on the clock.
