Its a very bizarre thing. You would think most euphoric atheists on the internet would be from the deep south and Islamic world where people deal with the brunt of religion's nonsense, but they are from LA, New Jersey, Germany and Canada.

You get some euphorics from the Bible Belt like our own Android Raptor (though she is from a posh Atlanta suburb), but a lot of them are the way they are since they have been thoroughly disconnected from actual religious communities to the point they mostly get their view of conservative Christians from media fearmongering about how the dang dirty fundies are going to kill all the gays and chain women to the stove. Those that are from religious communities tend to be some form of alphabet weirdo who got pushback from the church and relatives and turned it into a story about how they fled a death cult and were disowned by their parents simply for coming out of the closet.

I have been seeing TJ, of Banana and "Amazing Atheist" fame, starting to post easy dunks on the conservative christians, a back to basics shift... Maybe the euphoric progressive grift is drying up?

I don't see the issue with such a story.

Sure Christianity and most religions condemn suicide, but the "casual/normal" Christianity that most people in the west actually practice has everybody going to heaven except for the worst rapists and genocidal dictators. The afterlife where effectively everybody goes to Heaven does cheapen life despite its emphasis on life being a very sacred and precious thing.
 
So guys, what do you think would be the worst case scenario;

That the euphorics turn out to be right and there really is no god, no satan, no heaven, no hell, perhaps even no afterlife period (or at least not one that judges you on how you lived). That the universe and the human race really did come into existence out of chance without any intervention by an omniscient being.

…or…

That we’re both wrong in a sense and that it’s actually the god(s) of another religion that turn out to be the true god(s).

…or…

That Giorgio A. Tsoukalos is right and we were created/guided by aliens;
