Do these people just look around for people mentioning God so they can feel better about themselves?
Yeah, pretty much.

How else are they gonna compensate for living in their parents basement?Do these people just look around for people mentioning God so they can feel better about themselves?
The thing is euphorics are far, far too spineless to ever go after legit crazy fundies. Despite their "rebel" image they're too scared to actually go against someone actually violent or belligerent because they'd burst into tears after a zealot starts screaming "YOU'LL BURN IN HELL YOU WORTHLESS SINNER GOD HAVE MERCY UPON YOU WHEN YOU FACE THE HELLFIRE" because someone who is so fanatically devoted to their religion that they foam at the mouth and attack anyone that goes against their beliefs are scary. So to still feel like a badass militant atheist they attack the harmless, good-hearted Christians for making any sort of comment about their faith because those types are usually too kind and self-controlled to completely chimp out about what they say so they feel less threatened when they pick on them. It's the same reason a 3rd grade bully picks on kindergarteners and first graders but clams up whenever they're around anyone in the same grade or older than them.View attachment 257899 View attachment 257900 View attachment 257901
Someone: *briefly mentions God*
Euphorics: *froth at the mouth*
The same thing always happens when someone says something like "God bless you for being such a wonderful person." They just love to jump on people with good intentions. Like, I don't care if some obnoxious fundamentalist gets told off, but it just bothers me when nice people get harassed.
I don't know if I can find this again, but I remember a comment on an MLK video that innocently pointed out MLK's religious beliefs as an important factor for his drive. Then some euphoric pops in and says something in the lines of "Nuh Uh! MLK didn't need religion to lead the Civil Rights Movement dumbass!". OP debunks him by pointing out why his Biblical beliefs inspired him to use non-violent protests. Petty eurphoric calls him a "cunt".View attachment 257899 View attachment 257900 View attachment 257901

For as smart as Euphorics believe themselves to be, it's odd that it should be so difficult to convince one that a guy who used "Reverend" as a title had a strong belief in God.I don't know if I can find this again, but I remember a comment on an MLK video that innocently pointed out MLK's religious beliefs as an important factor for his drive. Unsurprisingly, his channel is (or was) filled with atheist debate videos on his playlist the same way a Fundie would have.
I've known some decent atheists, so I have nothing against atheism in itself, but these euphoric "atheists" described in this thread tend to annoy me as much as the fundamentally religious. Here's a couple I thought I'd share in case they haven't already been mentioned yet.
Scary Reasoner - A Wordpress blogger who's the very definition of an atheist edgelord with way too much of an intellectual superiority complex. He made a rant back in 2008 that consists of nothing but calling Christians "exceptional", as well as several other articles viciously insulting religious people, namely Christians. Since I can't link to the aforementioned rant, here are similar ones I found:

Sunday - This guy believes that you're a bad person if you associate with or support religion in any way. Like Scary Reasoner, he's also yet another atheist with the delusion that not being religious automatically makes you a freethinking person with Stephen Hawking-level intellect, whereas belief in God makes you a brainless, weak-minded sheep. To give you an idea, here are some videos of his:
Ah, yes. Because the best way to debate theists and prove how smart you are is endless uses of the word "fuck", name-calling, screaming into the microphone, and being as angry as possible. Also surprise surprise, most of the comments these two get are nothing but fanboys and other militant atheists agreeing with them and spouting the same things, and attacking anyone else who dares express disagreement. I get the feeling they purposely flock to profiles like these just to feel like their unsettling hatred towards religion is valid.
How old is this guy? I remember being an edgelord atheist, y'know, when I was like 18. You grow out of it. You mellow.
Also, the fact this guy actually believes Christianity is a omniscient viewpoint compared to Islam is utterly disingenuous. They're an easy target.
Is there a such thing as an "Atheist child", then? Because kids believe all sorts of things. I've yet to meet the two year old who says "I don't think Peppa Pig is real, because the evidence just doesn't support that conclusion."
Wow. Fuck that guy.
HIV Christianity's fault is this guy stupid or just plain retarded
