I take it these twats don't know that Catholic missionaries were in Africa before the slavers were, at least in parts? They were pretty successful in Kongo, at least, because the missionaries translated Christian religious terms into the local language, ex. they would use Nzambi instead of insisting on God or Deus or what-have-you. Not exactly forcing people into converting by the sword.

Then again, most of these people would flip their shit if you told them that African slaves were being sold out by their own, so history is probably lost on them.
 
It's kinda interesting that most of the outspoken "woke" people are black women. I saw one comment that said 'religion has destroyed the black community". Really. So it forced you to have children out of wedlock, cause the degradation of the black families, Black men killing each other, not reinforcing the importance of education, etc?

Yup. It was the belief in "White" Jesus.

These Pseudo-intellectuals don't seem to care about how important Christianity was in black culture.

Well you see willful ignorance is totally okay when they do it because white people. The general assumption is that everywhere the missionaries went they brought nothing but murder and slavery with them since they get lumped in with the likes of the conquistadors.

Christianity is a HUGE part of black culture especially in the South, their church services as rad as fuck too.

I would also like to add that in South America, blacks made their own little version of christianity by mixing it with african animalistic religions and folkloric supersticions. Becoming a huge thing with them and big cultural identity.

Is communion cannibalism? Technically no, theoretically theologically maybe, but calling it cannibalism makes it sound metal as fuck. Put that Jesus meat ( wafer) in your mouth!

The problem here is simple: These assholes believe they are so in the right they have forgotten they live on a planet where not everyone agrees and they let their arrogance overcome any impulse to show decency and tolerance.

Granted, you see the same sort of intolerant asshattery from fundamentalist loons of actual religions, but that goes to prove my point they aren't so different.

Any atheist with a hint of basic decency (a category that excludes euphorics by definition) would realize if a devout believer in a magical sky fairy is mourning the affliction of their child and beseeching said sky fairy for deliverance, it doesn't matter how stupid you think you are, you shut the fuck up and don't kick them while they are down.

Otherwise, you might as well quit calling yourself a human being if you can't even do that.
