Goddamnit. It's always disappointing when you find fellow fags and they're not funny

Exactly who is offering to let this due sit around in his skivvies eating grapes by the fire all day? I mean, if you have the chance, go for it, but most people are expected to accomplish something in life in order to earn their grapes, Fire, and naked time.

Don't Christian apologists love to accuse Atheists of being self-indulgent debauchees? That's not helping.

Yes, because each side is really, really retarded

But the whole problem is that on both sides there are reasonable people and that is never secognized

"WAAAH we need our shitty group WAAAH!"
Also yeah it's also punishable to be a Christian but you don't see me crying for a safe space pussy and I highly doubt this person's life is in danger

The irony in all this crap is so thick it's unreal.

First off, safe space to be atheist, is this guy kidding? There is no safer time in history than right now for that.

Second, yes, religious hypocrites have committed horrible crimes despite their supposed morals, but at least they have a moral system that tells some things they do are worthy of condemnation. Even the most depraved cult usually has some ethos that some actions are beyond the pale, however twisted the logic might be.

By contrast, atheists are chained to no moral they do not personally believe in, and even some of them are no better than whom they shit on, which is even more frightening, because at least you can call the religious hypocrite on violating their principles, but the atheist has nothing save an IOU to society and their own conscience to not violate the laws of society.

Finally, religion is as much a sociological phenomenon as it is a belief system, often adding a moral impetus behind many existing customs.

For example, there is line in the Qu'ran that says even if you are sheltering an unbeliever, if they do you a good turn, you must return the favor, which was merely a religious affirmation of an existing custom of charity to strangers in a time where your life may have depended on showing strangers courtesy.

The teachings of Kong Fuzi (which were effectively atheist) merely affirmed an ethical basis for existing sociological structures of Chinese interpersonal relations in his time, and Legalism (another system of thought with no religious aspect in Chinese history) did the same with different logic.

Religion is as much giving society an anchor as any other school of thought did, and in the formative years of any society, some anchor was always clung to to reaffirm or codify existing trains of moral thought.
