Necroing because a Cr1tikal video managed to attract someone getting euphoric over Christianity. The only thing to really make me laugh is that part of his anger extends to someone leaving behind some religious text in a hotel room.
Even if this guy is trying to bring "logic and sense", it ends up being like other Youtube comments in that everyone else was there to enjoy a video from Cr1tikal, not see someone sperg out over religion. And I'll still get the idea that a Bible in a hotel room will trigger something angry in this guy.

Religions set out moral rules. If you don't follow them, they set out consequences.

If you believe those consequences apply to you, then yes, not believing what they say sucks.

If you don't, then you have nothing to fear if truly reject their validity over you.

Me thinks if he's gonna get this angry about the Bible telling him he'll suffer consequences for not buying what it has to say, then he fears said consequences are actually valid.

If that's the case, he's got two options.

1. Resolve his guilt by giving them their due and believing in their message.

2. Quit acting like a spastic, reject their message out of hand and get over himself, whether they were right will be resolved when we are dead one way or another, but getting mad on the internet is not helping.

It get's better: the other one tries to accuse someone else of being like those denying pedo priest when all that guy did was make a comment. The other guy also made me laugh when he said "logic and sense." YT comments aren't the bestplace for that but even then, he pretty much just had to make long-ass post on a video of a Florida Man trying to watch a CGI Bible movie.

How does it matter that someone else believes that 5.2 billion people will be tortured for an eternity, if you don't believe it is true?
One can only assume one would have a problem with it because that the belief that billions of people will burn for all eternity is shared by a lot of people but iirc, there's also a number that question the eternal damnation part. One can admit there's barbaric shit in a religious text but even then, the whole "God killed a lot of people and raped a woman" gib ends up sounding more like a dead horse and flipping out over what others believe in is laughable so long as the shit other people believe on doesn't lead to some IRL harm and the like.

Same reason most euphorics get pissed.

Religion tells humanity, in one way or another, they are less than perfect, they do not have absolute mastery over their fate, and that some form of higher power rules their lives.

The average atheist would find this offensive but get over it, it's what religions do, it's like complaining water is wet.

Euphorics, however, think they are superior beings because they know the truth (how ironic if you ask me), and the mere idea there is another school of thought telling them they are wrong is like a kick to the balls. It doesn't have to be, they can dismiss it like most people dismiss the rantings of the average street prophet, but because most euphorics tend to be insane attention whores who want to be validated, this is taken as personal insult.

"Mock people based on gender norms and the use of homophobic jokes? Its ok when they're old white dudes"

Religion is still bad. The belief in hell has been used to justify abuse, exploitation and other nonsense. It is a problematic view.

Declaring any criticism of religion to be "euphoric" is just dumb. Criticizing stuff like this isn't the same as getting enraged at some old woman for wearing a crucifix or blaming religion for all of the worlds problems like Dusty Smith does.

Which is where a line is drawn the euphorics don't recognize as reasonable.

No religion is above criticism. I'm a Christian, yet there are many aspects of my faith I find questionable and I don't shy away from people wanting to hold it up to the light of scrutiny; the venal and perverse have become part of legacy of Christianity just like they have corrupted every other religion to a greater or lesser degree.

Euphorics, however, are so quick to dismiss religion out of hand to the point they don't care to admit some legitimate good principles have been part of many religions and many good deeds done in their name as well.

To the euphoric, they either don't want to acknowledge the ideas they reject may have some semblance of decency to their concept and/or history, or they don't care if they do. Debate is over, they know their beliefs are better, end of story.

And in that, they have become the very zealots they curse and denigrate.

While we all would laugh at euphoric tards that try to think they're rational or logical because they have some different beliefs despite the fact they could still end up being irrational, it also doesn't stop us from still noting the fucked up parts of religion and the criticisms of them. We just engage in this thread to laugh at tards within atheism that can end up being no different from religious tards in sperging over someone having different beliefs from them.

One thing I may as well find funny with it all is if euphorics really think the one they debate or shout at is some trollshielder just because the words weren't used in some specific way, as shown with the YT comments I posted. Then again, Youtube comments are known to be cesspits where one can't always get good arguments and/or it's all sperging that ends up being over a video where the creator would think "wew, chill out you tards." One could also assume a euphoric would think dark ages was full on suppression of knowledge when it may of been more than just "Catholic Church rules over Europe" but that would require being a historian willing to look deeper into it more than others beyond what most people think.

To me personally it only matters if they use that belief in eternal damnation to try to influence government policy. Believe I’m going to Hell all you want, even try to convince me to change to a reasonable extent, but don’t use government power to force me to change.

And the same goes for the euphorics that basically want the government controlling what gets said by religious figures

Why do some atheists get so triggered by people saying God bless?

The euphoric takes the atheist rejection of God as valid to a stupid extreme.

To them, not only do they reject the concept, they have open contempt of those who disagree, and since they are so convinced they are right about this, their reaction to any well meaning person saying something religiously oriented out of good faith and sincere belief enrages them because they (the euphoric) KNOW it's stupid, and they are pissed they have to listen to the stupid, or worse, be directly subject to it.

I'm done browsing the entire thread, which means at this point my mind getting overrun by a creeping wave of insanity. In my final moments of lucidity, a thought occurs. These euphoric atheists sure spend a lot of time making their stance widely known. Yet pretty much everything posted in this thread is utterly counterproductive for their cause; stuff that couldn't possibly appeal to anyone other than douchebags. So either they all suffer from a total lack of self-awareness, or they don't actually care about spreading their message and making a difference and are instead content to reside within a continuous cycle of mutual reinforcement circlejerk.

For them, it's "oh no a retard" or "you're not thanking the right people." What the first guy fails to realize: woman is saying "God bless" in reference to those that helped. The second fails to realize that the "God bless" comment was more or less in its own way thanking people that were kind enough to help an animal but fuck it, this lady isn't logical and rational and therefore some idiot.

At this point, one may as well make a "logic and rational" joke on these types if they try to say they stand for it when they could end up doing something irrational over something that isn't really threatening like leaving a Bible in a hotel drawer or someone saying "God bless this guy for being nice to animals and people on the street."

It's the internet. Such a thing managed to unite all sorts of people. As such, you'll get euphoric tards that'll be no different from the irrational tards they despise, cirlcejerking on something and using stats, events, and the like as some proof of why they're better or how some group they don't like is totally holding back God/progress/whatever it is.

Bruh...

#ChristianPrivilege is trending. A good time to search for gems.
Can you imagine what’s going to happen when people like this find out about Halal grocers?
They’ll probably be thrilled. No crosses to remind them of mommy and daddy.

When they realize that Kosher salt is simply larger grained salt that has been blessed by a Rabbi (and that the Rabbi was paid millions for that blessing).
