Wait, they're mad a European music contest is filled with mostly Europeans? I mean yeah, I know some places are fairly diverse and all, but many European countries are still pretty homogenous (especially in Eastern Europe). Of all the things to try and drag dumb race wank into, this is one of the stupidest in a while
 
Someone should tell them diversity is more than just skin color and sexuality. They won't listen, but it's true.

Historically white countries are majority white weird, in other news Africa is mostly black.

How fucking disrespectful is it to say that Swedish culture is like the UK's culture? Or that German culture is like Polish culture? Or Spanish culture is like Russian culture.

These stupid idiots only look skin deep, ironic since they always try to push the whole 'its whats inside' story, and fail to see that its a celebration of Europe's diverse cultures, REGARDLESS OF FUCKING SKIN COLOUR.
 
It's not like the most stylistically distinct song in the contest won or anything.

It's a shame because at the same time a lot of countries aren't bothering to sing in their mother tongue. There's like what, five songs at most sung in something that isn't English? And then you have things like Denmark having their singer be some Aussie who doesn't even speak Danish.

I'm glad a non-English song won this year because it seems a lot of these countries are depending on singing in a common language to win.

They'd say that doesn't matter since they're all white or something like that and it's 2017 where we should have more diversity or something like that. Much as how one can say diversity is great and all, it's has been mentioned before that you have more homogeneous places in Europe. One is likely to not have as many non-white minorities in Russia as they would in a country like the U.K. or Sweden.

It is funny though to see so many people make passive-aggressive tweets on something like this. Meanwhile, everyone else just wants to watch Eurovision or not really care about it.

This sort of thing is arguably more bullshit than the white issue. I would probably watch Eurovision if more countries sung in their native tongue, because that would make it more interesting. But lol, as if anyone could possibly be like, 'I wasn't going to vote for that country, but then they had a black guy do it!'
 
Tbh this whole "where are the pocs" thing is getting really creepy. Like you'll have a massive heart attack if you don't see a minority on tv. Just admit you have a fetish, because that's what it feels like.
 
Oh right, this is the first time America got the Eurovision feed, isn't it?

I distinctly remember about 10 years ago the UK put forward a black guy and we got all of about 4 points.
