In a less abstract sense, I went through my phone last month looking for a meme to send to someone and realized that nothing on there would be funny or make any sense at all to anyone in my real life.
Sometimes I listen to freestyle rappers and wonder how they stop themselves from referencing Terry Davis or Dobson or Shadman and then I remember, "Oh yeah, they just don't fill their heads with this shit."

I had a professor saying: If you spend time (and effort) into something, it will become valuable to you.
He was mostly talking about subjects and how much time you actually read something. Even if you speend a lot of time on something, others might not give a shit, but you do (sad cases for a majority of all researchers). I do think that you become what you surround yourself with. Which is why you should avoid slop, trash content etc. Unfortunately this applies to this site, it really is mainly a goship forum at it's core (but became an archive for Internet retardation).

Been there, someone says something goofy about black people and first thing that pops up is Moon Man, TND shitposts and crime statistics. I see a tranny in the library, boom! First thing is -ACK! gif 's and the dial8 department pepes. Don't mind it tho, better to have this in my head rather than not having one at all, never relax.
