To be fair, at least those guys don't have the same face problem. You actually can tell them apart from each other and other students. Took Alex how many years now to figure that bit out?
Also, none of them stand in the center of their icon. The easiest part, and yet no effort was put into it.

omg i dissapointed in mystery gang. Alex had such an opportunity to write them complex AI because it might be really interesting to play as a criminal who being hunted by detectives. Like, they could investigate crime scene, talk to victim's friendsand ets., and Yan-chan could give them fake clues. there might be even way to frame your rival for a murder.

The Shaggy and Scooby knock off profiles say nothing about being a coward or loving food, just that they're "lazy" and "fiercely protective".

At some point or another you just go too deep down the rabbit hole and see that YandereDev is far from the one man programming prodigy you expected. Speaking from experience, I believe a lot of his fans come from a place of ignorance. Alex isn't an overt lolcow in the same way Chris-chan, DSP or even Jim Sterling are. You need to have some prior knowledge that's a bit more hidden from the mainstream to understand how bad he is.

With every new update, I look back and laugh harder at how Alex wants his game to be taken seriously.
The humanized Scooby having a dog collar made me lose it. But hey maybe I'm missing out and every prestigious school has guys with dog collars hanging around.
On another note, I wanted to make a small throwback to "Let's Examine Persona - Part 2" video (dated back to May 5th, 2017)
At 9:44 he talks about a character stalking the protagonist in P5, trying to catch him doing something suspicious and how he wants to implement characters who'd stalk Ayano in his own game for same reasons he addressed in the most recent video (if Ayano has high reputation and they witnessed her committing murder and she didn't get caught).
In addition, he included some footage of the stalker personality in Yansim back in that video of students following Ayano around to catch her doing something suspicious or because they have a crush on her.
Just thought I'd point it out even though I know it's no surprise that Alex ripped-off-- I mean, was inspired by Persona yet again.

Even for a parody, the colours are completely wrong. Yeah sure, Velma and Daphne wear orange and purple but the hair colour... Oof.

This is probably why his characters are so shit. The only kind of people he likes are those completely stripped off of all their humanity. Just empty husks that exist solely to play into his fetish fantasy or his power fantasy or both.

I guess no one cares, but it looks like there’s more Fun Girl “lore” in the new build. Adding more pointless Saikous’ backstory must be the only thing Alex does consistently.
If I remember right, Alex originally wanted Fun Girl to be somewhat hard to find. Now her new lines are always found the same day the build is released. Might as well change her name to “Exposition Fairy”.

Deep shit, but honestly you're right. There's no true depth to the Yandere Simulator characters other than "shocking secrets" such as Kokona partaking in compensated dating (which there is porn of, Alex has probably wanked to that) but that has no impact on her personality.
With such a dense school population, any good writer would add personality and substories to each student.
