Funny how a year ago the overwhelmingly positive would've been at like 80%. Good to know the bullshit is starting to get through
It's generally been a really shitty year for YandereDev and a really good year for us, to be honest. It all started with the one and only Jiyu Drama where this went out to the public.

There are already multiple canidates for anyone who wants to find an alternative to follow, my personal favorite being Watashi No Mono.

But after Alex quits, a big company might as well see that they can take everything YandereDev has because he gave up ownership of his own game (It's concept is a winner). That would be the start of a new era.

After all, I don't think YandereDev has actually secured the rights to anything (correct me if i'm wrong).

Even if he did, concepts and ideas themselves can't be copyrighted. So even if you couldn't use his models or artwork [not that anyone would want to without massive alterations] anyone can make a "yandere simulator".

Just to add somenthing to your post:

Both Saints Row and Grand Theft Auto are open world games with criminals as protagonists.

Both Metal Gear and Tom Clancy's are stealth games with a military theme.

Both Fallout and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. are post apocalyptic shooters.

You could literally copy paste Alex's idea (a stealth game with an anime/school theme) and nobody could stop you. The only way you could get in troubles is if you copy Yansim's Story and characters.

I still have to see anyone who would make characters in a Japanese High School called "Occult", "Childhood Friend", "Fred Jones" and such, and yet still manages to make a compelling and immersive scenario.

The same person that made the 5k+ tweet (based on the name alone) also posted it into Pewdiepie's review submission sub. It didn't gain much traction since looking at his frontpage you need a couple thousand votes in a few hours to even break in, and I doubt he'd ever make a video on him, but word is spreading.

Honestly if anyone has the right to bring down Alex's circus, it is PewDiePie since he's been a linchpin to Alex's success. People got behind him because he promised to kill the project if PewDiePie caught wind of it and PewDiePie gave him an astronomical boost. It would be a thing of beauty if Alex's beginning and end was all through him :story:

Found this on the subreddit today:

I also found a post about someone's decision to stop following the game's development. https://www.reddit.com/r/yandere_si...dont_think_ill_continue_to_follow_this_games/
The first few comments do a pretty good job of summing up what's happened to most of his fanbase.

I wouldnt be so certain the mod is Alex, but it does look like they're operating in his stead (i.e he's the only mod who was told to step up and actually do his job). Back when Alex was moderating 24/7 a thread was removed about Sukubi Snacks, yet under Clevelands rule it's approved. Clearly, Alex is not a fan of baked goods :P Maybe an innocuous detail, but it stuck out to me for how absurd the deletion was.

Perhaps Cleveland is the most trusted mod? Or, hes the only one who's not busy.

Sukubi is removed

Sukubi remains free !
Now it's almost all Cleveland.

Cleveland was recently on the "unofficial" subreddit an hour or so ago, he said it was populated by/for "special needs children". He might not be Alex, but he's clearly cut from a similar cloth.

That's pretty insulting, to the special needs children. Then again, his remaining fans are probably special needs children, or someone with mommy's iPad.
