Yah! A whole new mode filled with bland, underdeveloped characters that were thrown together to make up for the fact that Alex won't work on the base game!

He's literally just reusing promos and stuff he got from children from 5 years ago. Amazing how retarded any fans who have stuck with him are if they still are committed.
Either the negative comments are getting pruned or there's an alarming number of people who think positively of this game and Alex's ability to actually finish it.
No surprises there.Alex said:In addition to the main story mode featuring Ayano Aishi as the protagonist, there is now a prequel story mode – “1980s Mode” – starring Ryoba Aishi, the mother of Ayano. In 1980s Mode, you must eliminate the girls that tried to date Ryoba’s Senpai in 1989.
In other words, you're lazy. You got it working once, then either applied it to all NPCs or just copypasted everything (more likely).Alex said:Each rival has 2 interactions with Senpai per day – once at the start of the day, and once again at either lunch or 5:00 PM. The player can sabotage these events to gradually make Senpai hate the rival. Due to limited resources, all rivals share the same set of Senpai Interaction events, but with different dialogue.
See above.Alex said:There is a new befriend/betray sidequest in 1980s Mode. Due to limited resources, every girl shares the same befriend/betray sidequest. (They were all victimized in the same way by the same person, just on different days.)
I sense incoming sperging from his fanbase over exactly who got the knife shoved where.Alex said:Because 1980s Mode is a prequel story mode, there is a “canon” elimination method for each rival.
Oh god not again. Remember when the town first appeared? Or any other time Alex tried to implement some kind of filter? I remember.Alex said:1980s Mode has “VHS Tape” filter effects to give the game an “80s” feeling. New options have been added to the Settings screen just in case you’d like to disable certain aspects of the filter.
My first thought was that majority of the student population is now randomly generated for each playthrough, then I remember it's Alex. Hello new random useless NPCs.Alex said:The game is now capable of spawning female delinquents in addition to male ones.
The game is now capable of spawning male student council members.
I wonder why.Alex said:1980s Mode features an entirely new cast of students at the school. (The art style and quality of the hair models is inconsistent, so many of them may be changed in the future.)
Hitman/Metal Gear this is not. Also, it's probably who gets the knife when and where.Alex said:There is also a hidden grade that is only achieved by meeting very specific criteria: S+. Obtaining the S+ grade will unlock an additional cutscene after the credits with some important lore information.
I actually subtly disclosed the criteria for achieving S+ somewhere in one of the bullet-points above. I wonder if you spotted it?

Yay! Another pointless feature that will do nothing but give Alex another excuse to delay the game!
I played it and it was more personally enjoyable than Osana, but this should have been released before Osana. Also I keep getting frame drops every time I open a door, optimization is shit.Well, first impressions. Alex still hasn't fixed a long-known issue, so certain menus will attempt to rape your GPU. Also, only four sponsors shown now(don't recall when that changed). 1980s mode runs significantly better than the base game, rarely visibly stuttering or managing to go under 50 FPS while the standard game can drop to sub 40 FPS and visibly stutters often. As usual, I've capped my FPS at 90 because I don't like hearing my GPU whine in pain.
As for the 1980s tutorial...

Aside from the blinding fog it's...actually surprisingly competently done with only a few minor flaws (wrong key commands in instructions, the trail is based on your foot position so it's useless on stairs/changes in elevation, leg animation is very very awkward when carrying a body), though the story is still the same quality we can expect from Alex. Minimalist introduction cutscenes; it's literally just white on blue text with a voiceover, and the tutorial is fully voiced.
First rival is a reskinned Osana that probably shares nearly the same routine, though her bodyguard is absent.

There's also a detective NPC that shows up after the students and I assume will eventually be following you around to impede your progress. I've got stuff to do today, so might see what I can break later.
God, he's a genius at finding new ways to progress the game without having to actually make progress
Honestly I think it's a testament to how patreon and twitch users are retards who should not be allowed to have money.God, he's a genius at finding new ways to progress the game without having to actually make progress
