You say that like the "generous contributor" isn't Alex.

Hi cum man!
I assume it's either Alex himself or one of his dedicated bootlickers but outside of committing a felony I have no means to determine which is the case, and frankly Alex just isn't worth the effort.

Completely fair

If it's a bootlicker tho, it's gotta be someone high-up since they'd have to be an adult to be able to donate that kind of money every month and redact the funds as well. My guess would be a Discord mod. Which means, either way, it's a direct line to Alex.

Tl;Dr Either way Alex has some sort of eyes on this thread, whether it's directly or not.

The new characters look like Sex Dolls. Well done Alex, very fitting to you.
Fun fact: Do you know which student became the first one to test a slightly different eye shape in an attempt to avoid that uncanny sameness of every student in the game? You will never guess!

Of fucking course it was Mai Waifu! Which he removed the next day, since it caused her model to deform. Or not and had to do it again. For some reason it also caused her boobs to act sporadically, which he listed as a fix back in the day, by the way. He claimed that she can finally has a different eye-shape, only to say it causes too many bugs again and remove it. Then in a progress report he shows slight tweaks to face model to make them more personalized and guess who's among the examples like rivals and bullies in the video? Mai Waifu! I don't think she is that significant for that, but ok. And according to Alex she is significant enough to have a new hair model, which of course was bugged to hell. I wonder when this character became so special? Well, back in 20-fucking-16, when he suddenly gave her rainbow colored eyes, even though he had to fix her portrait after that. And he improved those fucking eyes as late as in June of 2021! And as a cherry on top, in 2020 he adjusted her face and appearance, but not because it caused bugs or was outdated, but because he "didn’t like her previous face texture or accessory".

You can't make this shit up.

Well, I suppose it is cheaper than having to buy a new sex doll every time he breaks one in less than a day.

More like kaleidoscope eyes. Alex is an idiot who thinks taking one mary sue cliche and trying to name it after another mary sue cliche will make himself look "subvertive" or whatever pretentious label he wants his braindad audience to view him as.
It's not that hard to find actual rainbow anime eyes or an example of what they could look.

Lol, sounds like that typical Yandere Simulator code quality at work.

I think it'd make me anxious if my gf's eyes look like my computer's cursor when an app is hanging.

I agree that the Patreon bumps seem coincidental and that Alex or one of his goons may be keeping an eye on this thread. But has there been any tangible evidence to prove that Alex has been using his own money to manipulate the earnings and give himself boosts? Unless I missed something that exposed it?

Any tangible evidence to prove Alex has been using his own money? In short, no. That possibility is based on what was seen from the Patreon circlejerks that came out during the dreaded GamerGate era, where various groups of like-minded people (SJWs/game journalists/slacktivists) were found to be artificially inflating their earnings to seem more influential/successful than they really were by donating to each other in large chains. Could Alex be doing something similar with some lackey or slave volunteer? Possibly, but given how Alex seems at best reluctant to pay other people for anything (and has no friends/colleagues/people of similar ideological bent, only minions that lick his boots), I find that unlikely and believe Alex would rather just set up alt accounts and pay himself. Also depends on the average age/income of his "volunteers", as if Alex were doing some Patreon chain one of them would be the most likely participant though it's probably not worth the effort to investigate them.

So while there is no evidence that Alex himself is bumping up the Patreon when it drops too far, there is no evidence against it and historical evidence shows it's one possible explanation. While it may not be Alex bumping up the Patreon, somebody almost certainly is (a series of coincidences stops being coincidental and somebody really wants to keep the earnings above the $2,000 mark) and there's no way to know until Patreon eventually gets hacked again. I'm honestly unsure of my own opinion on the matter, as I feel it's basically a coinflip between being directed by Alex or a very dedicated bootlicker.

Well, yes, we hacked into Patreon and have a real evidence of this, but releasing it will ruin Alex forever, so we keep it for ourselves.

On a more serious note, people creating an illusion of successful campaigns isn't something new.

Don't forget that Alex isn't above buying an entire fucking subreddit behind the scenes to "stop" people from shittalking him. And this scenario with numbers bouncing back every time they drop under 2k not even at the beginning of the month was a thing for how long? A year or more? This can't be just a coincidence, Alex fell to 1800 and then suddenly bounced back just a little over 2k.

I don’t think he would need to. If he’s scared of what we have to say, then he can hide the amount he’s making. Censoring has been his solution to everything else.

i believe he just keeps it up to keep up the illusion of success on his part to everyone but the people that know his whole deal. he pulls out just before the next paydate so he can keep the money without loss

If he would hide it that would mean he has something to hide i.e. his Patreon is probably in a shitter.

Do you guys think Alex would post another Yansim christmas special to excuse the game's lack of progress or something?
Also Merry Christmas to you all, just in advance.

EDIT: Yup, just 3 hours later, I got recommended vids of it by youtube and @Activelo posting about it.

No need to wonder because he did. (A)
Longtime fans know that I have a lot of annual traditions – and one of them is to upload a yandere-themed parody of a classic Christmas song every year, with vocals provided by the incredible Michaela Laws. This year, she really knocked it out of the park with one of her best performances yet – and the talented Mulberry provided some truly jaw-dropping artwork to accompany the music!

This year’s Christmas tune is a parody of “The Christmas Song” by Nat King Cole. Give it a listen!

(video)

Are you curious to know what’s going on with the game’s development? I’ll probably write a blog post on or around January 1st to let you know what’s up and what my current goals are.

Please enjoy time with your family over the next few days – and, as always, thank you for following the development of Yandere Simulator!

I cant really sing, and im not very critical of stuff like this usually (im sort of your general audience goer sheep) but...this is really offkey. It's deceptively off key though, like the beginning of every note sounds fine but ends really shrill and sometimes hoarsely. Its....not good at all.

8-year-devs can't be choosers, you know.

Since the year is coming to an end, I want to look at Yandere Dev's Patreon and YouTube for 2021.

His earnings for 2021:
year graph.png

Looks like he managed to keep it back up to the same level as the beginning of the year. Lowest point was in August where it dipped just under $1,700.

Now if we look at all the earnings:
all graph.png

It seems like it dipped to a similar low in July 2020, but for some reason on this graph the August 2021 dip doesn't appear that way.
He's also slowly losing Patrons seeing as it has gone under 600 and not reached that number in a while now.

Now for his YouTube (excuse the weird cropping, I just wanted to include his 2021 videos in the screenshot):
youtube.png

Eight videos for the year, four of which reached 1M views. How long did it take him to reach those numbers? Because if I remember, it certainly took longer than usual. If you know, tell me.
Because when you compare that to youtubers like Kubz Scouts who played 1980s mode...
kub.png

More than 3M views for the first playthrough? Once again, it's like people only care about someone else playing yan sim. Heck, in another video I saw of Jay, he said he was tired of people nagging on him to play new builds of the game because of minor updates. I don't know about other youtubers who are also seen as carrying this game on their back (i.e. Bijuu Mike, Razzbowski) but we're just gonna have to wait and see if they genuinely like playing builds or if they're just doing it for clout.

Ah yes, clickbaiting and "optimizing thumbnails" (like adding fucking Squid Game) for that sweet youtube ad revenue money (and also sponsorships, if anyone would even sponsor videos featuring that hellhole). Its to obviously grab the attention of the game's 10y/o child fanbase.

You're not alone. I can't sing either and I also think the vocals sound off-key as the song progresses.
