Jelly is bipolar as fuck, she changes her mind on if she was a victim with the phase of the fucking moon. If you read earlier in the thread, you can find out that getting groomed is her kink, she has a discord server dedicated to teaching the craft of being groomed, and also breaks other laws so she doesn't want him to be investigated, lest they stumble into the autistic basement beast and filler of bottles that is Jelly/Jane/Sindelo
alex literally spoon fed her what to say in most of her statements lmfao

It's a shame really because your video shows all the fucked up stuff about Alex's past (the Sisefs situation, Alex's reviews of hentai games etc) and it's well made. The disappointing thing is that the comments in his apology video are like "Good job king, you took responsibility for your actions". These motherfuckers really forgot what happened back in September 2023. Also another thing, don't blame yourself if nothing happens to him, you did your best documenting what he did.

The only people I'm gonna blame for nothing happening to him is Ally, decepticcommie and the other zoomer faggot who posted the original TikTok. These people instead of contacting the police, decided to go to the internet for clout and attention. They didn't want to pursue true justice, they only wanted social credit points, the stroking of their ego and to show to the Internet how much good people they are. Moralfagging at it's finest.

In conclusion, Fuck Alex, Cameron, Ally, DecepticCommie and the Zoomer Faggot.
the mf they literally were the first to make a police report, look into it before you spew random shit

Bruh he's using some fucking tiktok anime filter. His eyes are massive and look at his mouth wrinkles when he's moving his head - they're phasing in and out of existance lmfao
Probably got a greasy rat's nest of hair under that hat. Bet he bought this elegant outfit just for the apology.

Somehow he looks the best he's looked in years though, at least he cleaned himself up a little bit
As others have pointed out, it's mostly trickery. Despite being a 1080p 60fps video it was filmed on a potato-quality phone camera, and he's got two really bright lights blasting him in the directly in the face - you can tell from the reflections in his eyes and the two shadows he's casting -
yande4.jpg
Effectively he's aped the old school Hollywood approach of smearing a lens in vaseline and shining a keylight on an aging actress; it completely evens out the skin and flattens the face as there's practically no shadows and no definition being picked up. On top of that he does seem to be using a beauty filter - it could be just this camera work but for example the area under his eyes is very blurry
yande2.jpg

which looks like what happens if you get the "eyebag remover" thing maxed out, there's not even a line under it like you'd expect from your eyeball bulging out undereye and there's some blemishes in the area that come and go as if smudged out by colour correction software (or just a lot of concealer). His cheeks also seem incredibly blurred to the point it looks like a smooth slope between his face and his neck at points -
yande1.jpg

you can't easily tell the face shape because it's so smoothed out (this isn't even what jowls look like), and there's also occasionally little glitches that throw you off -
yande3.jpg
(look at how his lips smudge down). These could all be artefacts of a shitty camera struggling to pick up any definition from an over illuminated face, but it's trivial to use beauty filters on video now (especially if you're facing straight on and not moving around much) and they do loads of things like improving and evening skintone, changing face shape to make you look thinner and possibly giving you UwU bigger eyes. I suppose it's possible his nascent social life has meant he's been out in sunshine and is no longer vitamin D deficient, but I think he's deliberately tried to make himself look as non-haggard as possible for his "face reveal" to try and downplay he's a creepy mid-30s shutin.
She contacted me first so I'm (technically) not a groomer!
She contacted me first and then got groomed into making me look like a groomer! That YouTuber is the real groomer, I'm just a poor widdle indie dev with a bunch of stalkers who are trying to make me look like a paedophile when really I just have some valid concerns about how we calculate the age of consent

Well, Alex followed through on his earlier statement of a release today.

Big January Update (Archive)
Alex said:
after the controversy last year, I’m no longer certain whether or not a crowdfunding campaign is still feasible. I can no longer guarantee that the rivals will have voice acting or unique animations. A lot of things about the game’s future are uncertain right now.
The "controversy" was only beating a dead horse when it came to the possible success of crowdfunding. Spending most of a decade on what is essentially an asset flip held together by duct tape and unpaid volunteers doesn't exactly convince someone of your ability to complete a game.

In other news, apparently some gamer media outlets took the story of his apology video and ran with it, so he took down his apology video. First saying it was because "it was harmful to someone" then "for legal reasons" so it seems that he's aware he couldnt' just ignore the snapchat stuff entirely and hope it went away

The video is indeed privated on the original post, along with this little edit. (Archive)

I think it's partly that, and partly because some screencaps came out of Alex and possibly Cameron coaching her on the statement. The thread's archived, but he deleted his tweets. Somebody else managed to screencap them, though.

Now Ally is alleging that Alex and Jelly/Jane were planning to meet up IRL and he bribed her with food to stop saying negative stuff about him.

Decepticommie also alleged that Cameron flashed his dick at her in a video call, alleges that the evidence he sent to try to disprove it was fake and alleges at the end of the thread that Alex is still trying to groom her.

Episode V: The Bugfix Strikes Back (Archive)
Alex said:
If the player played through the entire game and reached the confession scene, no text would display onscreen to explain what was happening. I’m so sorry! This bug has been fixed.
Really says a lot when the game's creator won't play through all of his own game to test things.

So I'm trying out this new update now to find out if there's any improvement to the game
Screenshot_2844.png
You are a victim? Sinister? Intimidating? Sexy? The fuck? This man is old enough to be someone's father and this is what he types full seriousness, still asking himself "Why does everyone think I'm a creep?" and gaslighting a victim of his grooming, all at the same time?
Screenshot_2843.png
Also, I don't know if this was posted here before, but did anyone research this image? It's in the game for a long time, looks like some kind of lolicon, and knowing how Alex likes to use pedo porn for his game, I wouldn't be surprised that it actually is.

Someone with more unity knowledge might have answer, but why are parts of school that are dozens meters apart combined into single mesh

Unless those floating toilest are part of some secret skibidi toilet minigame coming to yansim :lit:

From optimization standpoint wouldn't it make sense to group up meshes from same location rather than turn whole parts of school into single mesh. This feels like recipe for disaster to make whole school render at once because you're seeing a part of mesh making it render rest.

I've noticed too hair meshes being seperate from characters, which is not that bad of thing but since they're using same textures and students are not magically changing their hairstyles, it would double fpses from both cpu and gpu standpoint if you wouldn't need to have hair and body mesh do seperate pass through gpu, not to mention toon shader outlines processing and other bullshit such parented hair object to student's body object having to recalculate its transform every time student moves or animates.

The more I dig into yandere simulator, the more sanity leaves me

I *think* that there is something the engine will do where it will not render anything not in view. I'm not sure how much you can change it/make it more or less aggressive. But it would explain why the game used to lag so hard when you're at the entrance to the school, since its rendering the whole thing.
I know the Source Engine does it very well and lets you see in wireframe mode

At this point I just assume if there's some technical aspect that would logically make sense to be implemented in a tried and true fashion, it isn't. On that note...

January 9th Bug-Fixing Build (Archive)

Nothing particularly noteworthy; just a handful of game systems interacting poorly, or Alex did an oopsie and didn't add everything he had meant to.

I checked the Patreon amidst this shenanigans.

Seriously? I thought the well would've dried up by now. He must've asked for donations as his Christmas and New Year's gifts and his dolts gave in.
The only explanation I have is that other individuals that embrace a very immoral/illegal age of consent saw that Alex was one of them so they decided to chip in and slowly increase his Patreon after it reached its lowest point when the most recent allegations dropped. It has slowly increased month after month since, quite a change after years of steady decline. Keep in mind this increase happened during the time period where Alex was not releasing new builds of his game.

Alex donates to himself to make sure his patreon looks better than it actually is. If it gets under a thousand dollars, it becomes a pathetic looking patreon so he just reinvests into it with alts to inflate his numbers to look more respectable. WHich means Patreon is double, triple, and possibly quadruple dipping on him

The bugfix builds continue (Archive), mostly because Alex accidentally many progression stopping bugs in his big return update and either didn't find them in playtesting or never playtested in the first place. He is aiming to return to releases new builds twice a month, assuming no more major bugs are found. He does include a FAQ section at the end of the update post which is a tad more interesting.
“When are you going to start working on the next rival?”

The original plan was:

Finish Pre-Crowdfunding Checklist → Make YouTube videos about everything I’ve added to the game since the release of 1980s Mode → Launch a crowdfunding campaign and raise money to pay voice actors and animators to create assets for the rivals → Begin work on the rivals.

However, I don’t really feel like making any YouTube videos right now, and I don’t feel very optimistic about the outcome of a hypothetical crowdfunding campaign. If we skip those two steps, this means that the very next thing on my to-do list is to begin implementing Amai.

(However, I won’t start working on Amai until I’m sure that I’ve fixed all of the critical / game-breaking bugs that were present in the Custom Mode update. If tonight’s update doesn’t resolve all game-breaking bugs, then hopefully I’ll have achieved that goal within the next few days.)

Believe me when I say that, right now, the one thing I want to do the most is work on Amai. I keep thinking about her dialogue, her Befriend/Betray stealth mission, how satisfying it’s going to be to implement her after so many years of waiting…but, I feel like it would be horribly irresponsible to start working on Amai if there still any critical, progression-stopping bugs in the game right now that are ruining peoples’ experiences. So: bug fixes first, Amai afterwards.

“Have you already begun work on Amai?”

Funny you should ask! That’s what my most recent Patreon post is all about. If you’d like to see a preview of the latest assets that have been created to facilitate Amai’s implementation, please visit my Patreon.
TL;DR - Crowdfunding is off the table for now, he really really wants to work on the next rival but has to fix these major bugs first, but follow his Patreon for a peek! No.
“How long will it take to implement Amai?”

I’ve put a lot of thought into deciding how to answer that question. I considered writing out a list of all the tasks that would need to be done to implement Amai, and assigning time estimates to each task. However, I felt worried that my time estimates might turn out to be wildly inaccurate, which would result in people being very angry; “You said it would take (X) weeks and it’s not done yet! You liar!” I don’t want anyone to get excited and then have their hopes dashed, so I feel that it’s better if I don’t share my thoughts on how long I think it’ll take – not even a rough ballpark estimate.

If there is enough interest, I might create a “Trello” page for Amai – a live-updating checklist of what work has already been done, and what work remains to be done.
Oh look, he can learn after all.
“You said that once Amai was implemented, you were going to put the game on Steam and start charging money for it. Is that still the plan?”

That was my plan for many years, but I no longer feel certain that I still want to proceed with that plan. I haven’t reached a decision yet. Unfortunately, all I really have to say is: I have nothing to announce at this point in time.

Actually, I know it’s lame, but that’s my answer to a lot of questions…
Steam's community will rip him and his game to pieces, but there's no way he'll ever admit it; they really don't like asset flips.
“What are you going to do about voice acting?”

I’m not ready to make any decisions or announcements about that.

“Will it be possible to play as a male yandere, make a female Senpai, or have male rivals?”

I’m not ready to make any decisions or announcements about that.

“Will it be possible to join the bullies or join the student council?”

I think that those features would be very cool, but stuff like that is just not a very high priority right now. Maybe I’ll eventually add those features to the game, several months from now.
It's all been cut and he won't admit it for a few more years.

Alex will soon resume streaming on Kick, as he remains banned from Twitch.
