This game's direction is a complete mistake. Even trying to look at it from a psychological perspective makes absolutely no sense. Plants aren't sentient, it's really odd how someone can have that much dependability on life that doesn't even reciprocate the feelings. The only time I've heard of dependabilities such as that is with hoarders and people with strange fetishes for inanimate objects. It would have made more sense if it were an animal, but a plant? She can be a plant hoarder, probably, even then it sounds quite off. Especially if we are just talking about teenagers here living under the roof of their family- would hoarding even be encouraged?
As Ordohne stated if that was the real case then why are people in her club? Why can Yandere-chan join so easily? Why is the club public to the school if it has a higher chance of the flowers being damaged? I know it's excessive, but it's a public club that people can walk in and out of, and there are MANY people in the club; it doesn't even strike me as selective; someone could walk in there and kick the grass around if they wanted to; even the delinquents have access to the garden. As far as I know, there aren't any gates or faces to keep people out from the garden. If she hated humans so much; she should have been a character on her own, or with maybe. . two other people at max? Locked away from the rest of the school? Like Poison Ivy? She should show signs of reclusiveness, or reluctance to talk or help. Or you know, signs of a psychopath.
Wait, what? That's really, really dumb, Of course, you will have a strong reaction if your plants have been damaged, normal people do, especially if it's a garden you've worked hard on. Why is he deciding to make a normal reaction something that's part of an edgier character trait? Of course you will be pissed if someone destroys something you've worked hard on, it doesn't make you evil - like people getting pissed for stealing artwork for a video without crediting it? yeah, something like that Eva.
That's a fantastic why to undermine Yandere-Chan with a character that actually is the same as her, but worse- since she cares about no life at all. In fact, Yandere-Chan doesn't even hate everyone, she just feels indifference unless it's a rival- this girl not only hates all humans and masks it better under a softer exterior (by the way, that's incredibly stupid) but she also places the life of a plant higher than the life of a human; Why does Yandere-Chan have more emotions than her? How can Yandere-Chan in a way be a better person than her since she values human life (Senpai) a lot more than this girl does? I thought this game was supposed to make you realize how much of a monster Yandere Chan is? Why make a character even worse than her? That doesn't evoke sympathy or guilt if I killed her. She hates humans, and she doesn't care about lives lost as long as it isn't her plants? Who the fuck even feels bad about killing someone like that? Alex is trying really hard to be another undertale; except he fails to develop actual human beings; but instead edgy two dimensional cut out boards for characters. Nobody can relate to her, nobody has even placed plant life higher than human life unless you're a psychopath, and yandere-chan was supposed to be the only psychopath in the school for maximum emotional effect. Just make her a normal person who has a hobby for gardening. Make her cherish all life if she's so intricate with the care for life so small such as plants; it makes more sense making her the 'world-peace' and hippy cliche characters than a weird edgelord that wasn't even executed correctly.
TLDR: This game is full of unrelatable douchbags that manage to make Yandere-Chan look like the better person here.
