I am offended that there are no black characters

we should send Eva thousands of emails demanding black characters

We know how much he loves emails

Fear not. Back on 2015 I was interested in the game and asked him about such thing.

I thought back at that day that if he wanted his meme game to be more realistic with all that percentage and etc it was okay. But just look now what a mess it is with Ayano talking with Yakuzas like no big deal.
I mean it's easier finding a Yakuza than a tanned or black person on a privilege school, am I rite? (and anime doesn't have that much black characters as we know he bases almost everything from there)

By all means, if he wants his game to only have white people to look like japaneses animes that's his call but I think he will probably blame SJW as to why he doesn't want them and enforce the percentage thing. And I think it's a shame for the only tanned gal (Musume) on the entire game to be totally stereotyped but still have more story than Ayano.

I'm not entirely sure if this has been mentioned before, but a reliable source informed me that apparently people seem to be under the false impression that TinyBuild has a whole team of coders working on Yan Sim. The source stated that this is not true, and that there is only one TinyBuild coder working on the game. Which is something.

Weren't they still busy pushing Hello Neighbour out?

People are under that false impression because that's what he implied in one of his videos. He said "Tinybuild is going to assemble a team of professional for me, improve the game's code for me."
He did mention later on one coder, but in his earlier videos he put a visual of multiple people working.
So yeah, makes sense why people would think that way based off what he said.

One guy who worked on that shitfest, and converted everything to C# on their own? I'm curious one what they have to say about it...

The subreddit reaction to the Yakuza is mostly positive and by "positive" i mean, everyone think the guy is hot/badass. https://www.reddit.com/r/yandere_simulator/comments/6v2spk/new_character/

It's unsetling how most fans are so fine with this whole thing. Human traficking is one of the most evil things a character can do, it's the kind of shit you tell the villain does to show he is unforgivable and deserves to die. It doesn't matter if she "doesn't need to do it", the fact that it's an option in her mind (despite how unconvienient and dangerous it is) is absurd and makes her an irredemable monster.

I seriously hope these kids are just going through their edgy phase.

If they have so much as a shred of integrity, TinyBuild would be working day and night to fix up the horrible bugs and ---yeah nah that sentence was too optimistic for me to even finish.

Tbh, it isn't the trafficking thing in and of itself that bothers me. Other games have done similar things--for instance, in the first Dishonored, during a mission you can ask the local gang leader to kidnap your targets for you and sell them into slavery, and in another one you can hand over a woman to a guy who is probably going to stash her in his rape dungeon. The thing is that on both occasions they make sense. In the first, you have to seek out the gang leader and do a big favor for him, and your targets in question are absolute dickheads who everyone wants dead anyway. In the second, you have to do all the hard work of identifying the woman and luring her into the basement. On top of that, you're a scary assassin who's done a deal with the devil to get magic powers, and realistically nobody wants to say no to you.

In YS, though, there's zero reason why a Yakuza would want to work with a high school kid who could hand them into the police at any time, all for the sake of one girl whose disappearance would be way more trouble than it's worth. It's just lazy storytelling and a way to shovel edge into a game that's already chock-full of it.

:autism:

i love how ayano is supposed to be the game's mascot yet dev doesn't give her any love. she's just the most basic fucking thing, from her personality to her backstory to her design. putting her in porn games isn't helping her either
He cares more about Green Green than his own mascot.

That's really sad.

But it's okay in dishonored because you're the hero and your targets are villains (like every other videogame). The game also never implies that letting them live is the "morally correct" choice, you either kill or fuck them over for life, which is genius but went over everyone's head because 99% players only see good and evil as lethal and non lethal. Ayano on the other hand is selling underage schoolgirls to get a boy that doesn't even know her name.

Either way, i'm not shocked at the action itself but at how the fans are seemingly fine with it. It really is just a matter of time until Alex puts optional rape in the game.
