I've said it before, and doubtless I'll say it again in regards to YanDev, but it bears repeating:

This type of criticism of his character design ideas doesn't work against him. In fact, it's exactly the worst way to make fun of YanDev. Alex is scuzzy for going at it the way he is, of course, but the dude is actually pretty calculating for why he goes for char design like this, beyond his own fetishes. He does it because anyone angling criticism this way gives the dumbass a smokescreen for his shit because he can (and will) respond by claiming you hate it because it offends your delicate sensibilities. Suddenly, he can angle you complaining about her unrealistic proportions by claiming you're just offended by it. While YanDev is a failure in many different ways, that plan of attack just gives him exactly what he needs in a climate he can exploit (something we can thank the professionally offended brigade for but that's fodder for another thread).

That's why I've always recommended that if you want to punch him where it hits the most, nail him on technical aspects, atrocious writing, general laziness, incapacity to deliver on even basic promises, attempts constantly to inflate the project, and so on. This project is critically and irrevocably flawed, and it deserves to be torn to shreds on that premise. Hell, Lunar Scythe alone shows he's fucking incompetent as a game dev, and you can nail that premise with the force of a bunker buster without ever giving him ammo.
 
Now the real question becomes why did Alex turn off occlusion in the first place?
Such a decision makes no sense.

Apparently it "interfered" with the game running on intel systems. But as it turns out, that wasn't the case, it was his own code messing things up (what a shocker).

He's actually claimed to be using occlusion culling in recent builds according to his patreon transparency posts, and the reason for the shitty framerates is because the game "has to render millions of polygons a second"... :story:

A few redditors have pointed out that he's lying though, whether or not that's true is up in the air, although there hasn't been any reference to him re-enabling the feature in any updates, or even mention it past 2015, so he's probably full of shit.

Who wants to vet the moment Huniepop 2 is released, Alex is gonna try to add a "Bejeweled" minigame or reference it hoping that the Dev gives him free promotion?

Isn't Osana voiced by Audrey's VA too? I could see him doing that. That honestly the only easter egg that would make sense at this point. but ...that would require effort, and it actually makes sense. So it won't happen. Plus I have on good authority that Alex couldn't manage to re-create pong, even with his unity training wheels, let alone strip candy crush.
 
There have been over 50 new pages in the thread since the last update to the game, which was almost a month ago.

What do you guys even discuss anymore?

It's just repeating what's already been said.
The last couple of pages (3 - 4 pages) were all about how bad his programming abilities are and how the FPS suffers because of it.
Just skim read the thread for now, there hasn't been anything important to discuss since tinyBuild left.
